It's good
This time, I challenged myself to use this without bringing other cutting tools. After cutting a few 1-3-inch sprigs, I decided to try my luck with a 10-inch log that we had cut from the top. I was surprised that it took less than a minute to cut through the same piece of wood with this electric saw. We took turns finding enough wood in 15 minutes, to make the two-night trip, and I realized that because it's connected to people, it can't go right through the wood. If you don't keep the same angle, it will run around and you'll cut it twice as long. I also noticed that it was hanging on the bark of some trees, and I just had to start the groove, and I could break my limbs off, and I was tired, but I wasn't the same person anymore. I am sure that an active young man will soon pass through a fairly large sapling or branch. With a little bit of practice, I think it works for me, too. I love this product, and if you have a little imagination, you can do better with the handle.

For small jobs this is fine
If you only want to cut down 5-6in branches this is fine. Note that other saws now have teeth on both sides and this one only cuts on one side. It's not a huge deal however.I attempted a much larger 10in branch and this one got snagged and then broke. I got a different rope saw and that one was able to cut through the 10in ok.I do like the gloves and spark flint.

like
Make sure the cutting gear is against the wood. The chain should be visible when cutting. I threw it on a high branch, and I pulled at it for a while, but I couldn't cut it. I twisted the chain so that its teeth clung to the wood, and in a few seconds the chain sawed the branch off, very conveniently.

best to use on 5" or smaller limb
Saw was not double sided and naturally rested on the non-saw side more often than not when tossed up into the tree. Saw would repeatedly get stuck 1/3 through 10" limb. Only way to get it unstuck was to pull quick and fast, causing damage to the handles. WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN FOR ANY LIMB OVER 4-5 INCHES

Great for cutting branches
I bought this saw to be able to cut small lower branches from shorter trees in my backyard, and it worked very well. The blade is sharp and cut through the branches with ease, although I did have to put in a little elbow grease for the thicker ones. The gloves were a welcome addition, they prevented the handles from cutting into my palms.

It is different
If you want a camping tool for cutting stuff this works well.

Exactly what I needed
I put this on my utv. I used to carry around a battery operated chain-saw, but I got tired of keeping it charged. I haven’t used it yet, but everything about it feels well made.

Way more affordable than a chainsaw!
This doesn't cut trees down as easy as a chainsaw of course, but I was amazed at how easy the chain chewed through a tree almost 2 foot wide!
