Japanese Buddhist Altar Butsudan (Small, Tessen)

Took longer than expected, but it is absolutely lovely! Packed very well and in good condition.

The product itself is very beautiful, but was damaged during transit. It's as if the box was allowed to roll around in transit causing the interior paper to be torn.Providing some packaging material within the box would prevent this in future transits

When my mother died and her house was sold, I no longer had access to her built-in butsudan for all the grandparents and great grandparents ihai tablets or incense, bells, other religious objects. Turned to Amazon and found a compact lovely butsudan which houses my family ancestors although I am not Buddhist. The local reverend told me later that the church has gently used ones but I had purchased my little shrine that gives me comfort this year.

I expected to receive this in inch dimensions (“) as provided online, but instead got it in centimeters dimensions (cm). I was about to return it for that reason, but my wife and I both agreed that it was actually quite beautiful and perfect size for the location that we planned on putting it. I discovered after receiving it the inch dimensions in the Product Detail section that I based my purchase on and further down in centimeters under Top Material Type. Because of this misleading error, I rate this at three stars; otherwise, it would have been five stars.

So its a pretty cabinet but very poorly made,this is the condition out of the box, for the price charged i expected much better quality than what I got, I recommend you give this one a pass, I have some major repairs to do before I can use this as anticipated

The original piece arrived broken- as is to be expected when shipping from across the globe. Their customer service worked with and I am thrilled with this Butsudan. I recommend the product and the company!

So beautiful, much better than pictures. I am thinking about buying another one with bigger size.
