This kit comes with a very nice black mirror with stand, a decent book, and a CD (which I haven't even bothered to use because I've been meditating on my own for ages). The price for all of this is fantastic! The book tells you everything you need to know to get started, though none of the ceremonious things he talks about are necessary. I've only used it once so far; I just put the mirror (still in the box) flat on my lap while sitting Indian-style and looked down into it for about 40 minutes. The author talks about seeing smoke first and and then clouds and then color, but I was excited to see color on my first time and am hopeful that I'll be seeing images very soon. I think it will be a great way to get messages from my subconscious mind and to increase creativity for writing, as a previous reviewer mentioned. Seeing the future or clairvoyant images would just be an added bonus. If you want to know more about scrying and tapping your subconscious mind for writing, I highly recommend the book "Thinking Write: The Secret to Freeing Your Creative Mind" by Kelly L. Stone. It's what prompted me to purchase this and I'm really glad I did.

Book is cool. I ordered a used version that did not have the stand in it for the mirror that comes with it. I didn't see in the description that it was not included so it was misleading a bit. That is the reason for my low number of stars!!!!

Got this as a gift for my son and he loves it. It is a great tool for craft and I think it is much easier to get results than a crystal ball. The darkness of it is easier to focus on than a clear sphere, IMO.I put it as a great tool for starting your path to the Divination Practice in my headline and it is, but it is also a good tool for more experienced users. My son has been using it for about 5 yrs and it has held up well, although now he uses the Tarot more. I'm more a "Feeler" than a "Seer" so I never get good results with mirrors, but that is just me.As a side, my son says that after using this mirror kit, he was able to see sharper auras.

I have been studying the magickal arts for over ten years and the idea of scrying has been quite confusing. One goes into it with false expectations and a lot of white wash mysticism. But this book takes the dogma out and lairs out practical approach to begin and build your practice. Advance users might find it too simple but there are gems in here for all.The only contending point might be his idea that some are better at scrying and some might not move from just seeing clouds. Yet it is my experience that all can develop their abilities to the highest levels if they practice consistently. Over all I would recommend to anyone trying to learn this marvelous art.

I've been divining for years so I was a little hesitant at first to get this book. Had it in my "wish list" for quite some time. There was something that kept calling me back to this set and as we all know it's always best to listen. The first part of the book takes you through history, energies and advises you to use them for good with regards to energy return x10 (things most of us already know). Later in the book I discovered several different insights that I found immensely informative which gave me that extra edge re; emotional and psychic support. I really enjoyed the book and the mirror has been entertaining.

I found this book great for a scrying beginner. I tried crystal gassing with minimal results. I made a mirror with black spray paint and downloaded this book. I got results fast. The first time I tried it I wanted to know some past lives info. I watched a three d holligham image of my face change into. A past life face three times. I have scrued three times and gotten great results. I almost gave up scrying but the directions in this book really worked.

Badly written book with very little practical information. It seems like every other sentence in this book is in the work by such and such. It reads like an add for other books and skips important information on application and safety.
