I have been in the audio game for quite sometime in 2011... install and experience a number of different system and amps for SQ competition. For this family car, my wife won't let me do anything to it so I tried to keep the cost as low as possible and still able to get better sound quality for daily driving. We now got a minivan Kia Carnival and the sound is Awful on lower trim model ( regular SX trim). The mounting hole on the dash is quite shallow so I have to cut the grille and place the speaker on top of the dash instead of hidden. It's quite ugly but it gets the job done for the time being.I have had the SKAR speaker prior to this and the Skar sound quality sounds too mellow and sometimes make things sound unrealistic. There was something off and hollow in the midrange and roll off highs that really bothers me.For the hertz, I was skeptical because of the tweeter material is not "soft dome" . However, after mounting it in the car, my perspective changed completely. The highs are truely on the "Crisps" side. You can hear more details more "ringing" effect WITHOUT harshness like aluminum tweeter does. I remember i had a JBL 3.5 GTO speakers on my other RAV4 but it was not as pleasing to listen to like the Hertz. The mid range is good, slightly hollow but it's much better than the SKAR. The mounting hole on the Kia dash is very shallow so it's probably not giving it enough volume to "sing" like the deeper mounting hole area. For installation, You will need to get a Bass blocker caps pre-installed on the speaker wire. I had mine blocked from 600hz and up. You can try 300hz or 500hz to see if it blends in better. The plastic trim around the speaker can be removed with a plier and pull away so you can fit the speaker grille back.Overall, for the money, this speakers really give a good pleasing listening result compared to other cheaper ones I have used from JBL and Skar. The tweeter is on the Crisps side midrange is slightly hollow but overall it's a night and day difference from stock. You may want to adjust the mids and tweeter level on Head Unit to tweak it to your taste. I know the Kia HU isn't the best but for what the speaker can do it really satisfy my ears for the money spent.

Great sound, great quality, great price
I read the reviews, figured id be happy, and definitely didn't disappoint! I replaced all 4 in my 04 silverado crew cab just using stock head unit still, and it sounds awesome, really! I'm not booming with bass, but sound quality is really clear, no breaking/cracking, even turning up to 100%. Very well balanced sound, and you can clearly hear that it's a well made speaker. Hopefully they hold up, but judging by the feel and sound, i think they will! I'm very happy with the purchase.

Great budget speaker
I bought these as a replacement for my 2006 Honda Civic. They sound great with the factory head unit. Crisp highs and just enough bass. I would highly recommend these for replacement speakers!

What a difference!
I installed them in my 2020 Jeep jl. I put them upfront and in the soundbar. Night and day difference from these and factory. These speakers are as crisp as can be even though it’s running off my factory head unit. Excited to hear what they sound like with my amp hooked up to them. Would definitely recommend…

Did not hold up
After just a few months of use, these speakers fell apart. The sound was good while they lasted but within 6 months, I started hearing a crackling noise. It eventually got so bad, I removed them and discovered that the membrane had torn/separated from the suspension material. One had completely done it and the other has started. I emailed Hertz multiple times but got no response. I took it into a local shop and was told that it was a common occurrence with these. I woulda paid the difference for a better Hertz if they would have responded to emails but I don't think Hertz is the same company that I'd come to love over the years. They failed in the customer service department miserably.

Good replacement for OEM tweeters
Used to replace oem tweeters in my 2016 Mazda6 T. I cut the factory plug for the original tweeters and soldered the wires directly to these speakers. + and - are clearly marked. These speakers improved mid and high tones and loudness. Might not please everybody and do not expect premium sound, but overall they improved my system.

Excellent replacement for 2011 Hyundai Sonata 3.5" OEM Dash Speakers
I tried four different brands of 3.5" speakers to replace my original 3 1/2" OEM dash speakers on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T with the Infinity Sound System. The first two, the Pyle 2-Way Universal Car Stereo Speakers and the BOSS Audio Systems CH3220B were definitely below average, poor workmanship and did not perform any better than the original OEM. The third one, Kicker 46CSC354 performed a little better than the other two but had very low response to low frequencies and very high treble pitch on high frequencies. The Hertz Dieci Series DCS-873 definitely are a big improvement to my original OEM speakers. I was able to install them in the same dash opening and I was able to reinstall the speaker cover with no issues. Well built, good workmanship, very pleased with the results with this brand.
