Allparts BP-2006–010 Tremol-No Large Clamp Chrome

Didn't have a problem installing it or getting it to work as directed. It actually works quite well and holds my tremolo block in place! Not sure why other people had issues with theirs. If you have issues with it, I suggest to take it into a professional to help you install it. The end result will be worth it!

I've played guitar for slightly more than 50 years. I do a lot of string bends in my playing and because of that I've avoided guitars with trem bridges. I've used extra springs and wood blocks to stabilize the trem and therefore the tuning of my guitar. This Allparts Tremo-No Clamp is the way to go. Simple to install and creates total stability of the trem. Plus when you want to use the trem it can be easily removed or adjusted to the amount of trem movement you want. I definitely recommend this.

It does fit the Fender Player Plus Stratocaster trem block - barely. The trem block on this Strat model is very thick. The Tremol-No Large Clamp is holding well, but I would be more confident if the central screw was a little longer, as the clamp is at its max open position.

After a few "tremolo killer" purchases that either wouldn't install on my SX VTG '62 Strat clone, or held the tremolo like a net holds water... This did it!Literally, I installed it in 15 minutes with just a Phillips screwdriver. Simple, if you prepare!I bend strings at the frets and was having terrible chord issues when one bend caused another "normal" tone to drop thanks to the flexibility of the soft tail bridge. Now, if I need tremolo ability again, simply popping the back hatch and loosening the two lower bolts a half turn releases it, and it is easy to shift between modes.SUGGESTION: Mark the inside of the hooks on your original claw on the body (both sides) using masking tape (or anything that sticks but peels off easily). Unscrew the anchors. Loosen the fastening bolts and strip the Tremol-No to the claw and bare shaft. Hook the claw up with the screws just barely holding the wood. Hook your springs to it in the 1, 2, and 5 positions (there is no 4 spot as the shaft lives there). Tighten to the approximate tension you had before using the tape mark to gauge. Now attach the grounding lead and shaft parts following the instructions. You should only see a slight change in string pitch and can refine it later.Note that you NEED the smaller Allen wrench or another 1.5mm tool in your kit to change strings, as (in my case) the bridge rides towards the 6 string (low E) compared to the claw, so the clamp partially obscures the D string access. I suggest the accessory pouch included goes into your gig bag for "oopsie" moments, like when a tightening bolt slips and disappears on a dark stage.Previous reviewers commented on the shaft being oversized and needing to be ground down. I saw nothing on the design that could cause this, as the steel is high quality and precision milled. I assume that the issues they saw were due to parts that were kept in a high humidity environment that allowed corrosion to form, in which case that shouldn't be going near a playable instrument. If you get a bad one, just ask to swap for another. If I'm reading codes right, mine was made in 2016 and even after 7 years of shelf riding was still in perfect condition.

Floyd Rose should have a locking option. This feature on Kahler trems allows you to lock, then tune and then adjust the float claw screws to the proper level. See the Kahler video on setup to see what I'm talking about.I decided that I would like to lock down a couple of Floyds. This product allows you to lock your Floyd in place into a hard tail, a single direction trem or leave it fully floating. Fully locked is the easiest setup. The thumbscrews that lock the piece in place are solid and stable. The company also offers replacements. Check out their site for details.I installed into a Schechter Hellraiser with Sustainiac. The screw holes were aligned properly, I didn't need the ground screw but it is a clever idea.The cons are that it is not easy to get into the back panel to change your trem on the fly. There should be an option for a back panel with an easy open clip door or a wider opening. Anything other than the 6 screws to get into the compartment. Ok. But if you are choosing a setup that's permanent or semi-permanent this will not bother you.Another con. I chose to leave the trem as a one-direction. So I screw in the claw and connect the springs like in the video. Then I lock in the clamp. The trem is exactly in the place it was before. Great. I lock the thumbscrew for one direction use. And then it wouldn't sit completly flush. The tuning went flat. I had to adjust the stop piece for longer than I wanted to spend tightening and loosening screws before I found the right spot for it.Then I discovered that the screws on the tone block clamp do not allow for full travel of the trem. This is good because you can install it on a lot of different sized tone blocks. And if you are fully locking the trem no problem. But if you will use the trem you need to buy a dremel tool and a cutting wheel. Or a very small metal saw. Because you have to cut the excess so the trem has as much range as possible. The description says it fits a sustain block up to 14mm. Mine is 12.75mm and it doesn't fit. Just block the trem with a wooden block and skip this massive waste of money.

Great trem block. Easy installation, very solid. I've bought cheap versions of this that cost $15-20 less and they were definitely inferior products. This one keeps everything exactly were it should be. Your not getting better deal by knock offs of this part.

So far so good. After buying a 2018 PRS SE Custom 24 I was upset that the guitar would not hold a tune. I bought this bad boy - a new Tusq nut and it seems to be holding a tune much more dependably. I'm not a fan of floating bridges at all - wish this guitar would have came with a fixed bridge.This only took about 5-10 minutes to install during a string change. Good product will update if it goes bad.
