Complicated to Setup First Time... but Work Great!
Even for someone like me who's quite mechanically apt, and who has a knack for being able to figure things out...The specific details about the way these poles collapse and expand escaped me until I watched a video about it.I do HIGHLY ADVISE you to watch a video about how they expand and collapse. I decided not to make my own video because there are some very good ones already available here.But... once you get the poles expanded and adjusted precisely for your particular size and use... They work phenomenally well!Even being such thin poles (quite a bit thinner than many others) they still are sturdy and stable on the path, and operate dependably and seamlessly just trekking along in the woods or even on a neighborhood sidewalk (in which case, the're not clunky or loud... they're very quiet with a soft touch on the ground and in the hand. The cork grips and adjustable hand straps are very comfortable while walking or hiking...All in all as I said, they're definitely a bit complicated to setup that first time, but once you get the hang of it, you'll have them torn down or wrapped up again within a minute or two! Easy, Quick, Dependable!Excellent Poles!

Knee Savers
I took these bad boys on a solo backpacking trip through sand, rock beds, creeks, cliff sides, and I’m happy to say they kept me stable the entire time! I was so impressed by the metal tips’ grip on bald rock faces during my alpine descent. For the first time after hiking, my knees felt so good, I went on another hike the day after my excursion! These are knee savers!I also put them to the test when I took a spill after a stream crossing, when one of the poles got stuck under a boulder as I beefed it. I was certain the lightweight pole was gonna snap— especially with a 30lb pack added to my weight— but no! Not even a dent!I love how light weight they are, they became part of my body as I hiked, rather than one more thing to lug around. If you’ve never used hiking poles, I highly recommend watching a video on how to properly use them. How you point them and wear the strap makes a big difference. Oh, and don’t forget to remove the rubber tips!Tip: Tighten the silver wheel to make sure the height you’ve set stays in place. Then you’re all set to lean all your weight on it!

Great Poles —Poor Set Up Instructions
These trekking poles are a great buy. They are very affordable and comfortable. They are light and the hand grips fit well. My only complaint is that the directions on how to set up the poles (especially size adjustment and locking mechanism) were sparse and not very clear.

Lightweight and Sturdy
These poles are exactly what we were looking for. They easily fold and unfold and have been very sturdy over 200 miles of training. The height and strap length adjustments are also easy and have held up. We got two different sizes, one for me at 6' and one for my wife at 5'5". We are taking them on the Camino de Santiago, so we also purchased a set of replacement tips (which wear more quickly on pavement) for the 500 mile trip.

Nice!
They work as described, they are light and reliable and work perfectly in every environment, I used them to hike on Cayambe and Chimborazo volcanoes in Ecuador and they were working fantastically, just as an advice for some who might encounter any problem: when you have to pull away the final section to put the rest together, you have to hear a click, and this comes from a metallic tip that holds this section together with the rest, you have to see this tip holding the tube, I didn't know that and was about to return them, once I found out this, they were wonderful.

Buena compra

Good value for the money
Once you figure out how to lock them in place, they are great. Very sturdy and seem well built. We just hiked 20 miles with them with no issues.

Practice this at home first, kids!
I have just received this product and it appears to be of good quality and everything it was advertised. However, I have not used it in the field, and I am glad that I practiced assembling it and disassembling it several times because there are some nuances to be discovered. The manufacturing and design appear to be excellent. One element of the stick is locked in the extended position, by a small metal pop-up button that prevents the section above it from telescoping onto it. To disassemble one needs to simply press the metal button. However, this is not so easy unless you know to pull apart (in other words, exert traction on ) the joint a smidge as you do it, which allows the button to move much more freely.Another word of caution: the product comes in two lengths. Check the size chart carefully. The first one I ordered had to to be returned because I was just on the borderline on the chart, but in actuality, it was too long, even at the shortest adjustment.
