This men's product is one-of-a-kind because it texturizes and adds volume to the hair without any oils or a greasy feel. For somebody like me who has wavy and oily hair, it is the PERFECT product to use to take control of your style for an all-day and all-night hold that even holds up into the next morning when you wake up!To give you an idea of how it works—the product is a very fine powder that you sprinkle in your hair and work around to your liking. Start with just a little since it does go a long way. One container lasts me several months.I have never been able to find this product in any salon or store since it probably isn't very popular (which still surprises me). I consider this my secret styling product that has been my number-one go-to for years now.This product may not be for everyone, especially if you like running your fingers through your hair, or having a special someone do that ;) but if you're looking for something that will keep your style in place or add a boost to otherwise flat hair, this is it!Pack one of these in your gear bag in case you need a lift from "hat hair" or after a post-workout session and you'll be good for the whole day.

After a wash you put a little that dusted on top of your head you gonna be looking like a suave Conway Twitty in three seconds.

I have fine blonde hair that’s hard to find products that are a true matte finish and that adds volume and texture.This stuff by crew works well, I also use a little AC’s Matte Clay with the boost powder for extra volume.My only complaint would be it’s hard to wash out, I use crew’s thinning shampoo and it soaks up the shampoo and doesn’t lather as well as not using the boost powder.I’ll continue to use the powder as it works great for fine blonde hair, compared to others in the same category.Definitely would recommend.

I'm always trying out different hair products to see what works and doesn't work for me.Here's instructions on how to use it:1. Make sure your hair is completely dry.2. Start by slightly shaking the unopened can a few times.3. Open the can and put it over the areas you want to apply.4. Begin to tap the side of the can. The powder should lightly land on top of your hair.5. Use a brush with your other hand to help the powder to land where you want it to.6. Use your hands to style or use another product for better results.PROS- I normally use this with the American Crew Fiber to get a great low-shine, bed-head look. It works very well.- This powder could be very helpful for those with thin hair. I would recommend using with the American Crew Boost Cream.CONS- The description says, "Retains natural moisture and softens hair." In my experience, this is false. Using the powder alone, it actually dries out my hair almost like bristles on a broom stick (exaggerating). It makes it tough to put my fingers through my hair. Just a little false advertising, but nothing to really complain about.Overall, I'd recommend this product to whoever needs an extremely matte way to thicken your hair.

I NEVER had anything remarkable to say about any hair products... until now. This stuff is absolutely amazing. I have wavy hair, that puffs out on the sides and falls flat on top. Because of that, I have kept it crew-cut short for pretty much my entire life. This worked very well in the 90's and early 00's when it seemed like every guy had close-cut hair unless they were trying to be Kurt Cobain. However, a couple of years ago, I got sick of it always looking the same and tried to grow it out some, only to be reminded of why I cut it so short to begin with. I tried probably 10 or so products (at the advice of barbers, friends, etc.) and returned them all because they either felt like I had rubbed filth in my hair or they made it stringy and greasy. I historically stayed away from American Crew products because I despise strong smells and they all have them, except this one which has no odor whatsoever (my favorite odor!) It only works if the hair is COMPLETELY dry, which also has the added bonus of saving me the time of showering in the morning (I switched to showering at night). If you have mixed-texture hair, or find that all waxes/pomades/gels/whatever do not do what you want, try this. I might start hoarding this stuff, because I will be mad if they stop manufacturing it one day.

Product as described; very expensive.

This product has been transforming in lifting my thin hair adding volumn. The powder is easy to apply with fingers or by simply dusting on the roots of your hair.

This is third hair powder I’ve purchased on Amazon as the other two left my hair kind of sticky. This does not do that and leaves nice volume. I like the scent too. You just get a really small container and not much product. That would be my only complaint.
