SUNBRANO 10ft Solar Power LED Outdoor Cantilever Patio Umbrella, Offset Crank Hanging Umbrella with 32 LED Lights, 8 ribs, Red

We really love this and the LED's are not real bright but bright enough to read by.The problem is the uprights are thin soft aluminum pipes and the set bolts don't stop the umbrella from moving in a slight breeze. I corrected the problem by drilling a 1/4 inch hole and putting a bold in it. I'm hoping the thin pipes will hold up.

I bought this patio umbrella less than a year ago and right from the start it was clear it was a complete piece of garbage. I should have packed it up and asked for my money back right away but instead I figured I could “fix it” since I am an engineer.The first thing I had to do was bury the base because it came with no weights or anything to keep it from falling over. This was not a surprise since it said it came without a weighted base but I had no idea how flimsy the base actually was.After I buried the base I learned that the plastic lock that was supposed to hold the umbrella in place was completely ineffective so I drilled some holes in it and used a metal U clamp inserted through the holes to hold it in place. Even with the clamp in place the support structure for the umbrella was so flimsy and flexible that a standard wind would push the umbrella around such that the sun would routinely flash in your eyes as the umbrella flew around.As any engineer knows constant load cycling ultimately leads to buckling if the structure was not properly designed so that is what ultimately happened today. One of the poles of umbrella support structure buckled. Luckily I was inside getting a drink otherwise the whole umbrella would have fallen on my head and I might be calling a lawyer rather than writing this review.I called Amazon since it’s been less than a year but they said there was no warranty and only offered me a $5 credit off another umbrella. That’s the first time I have been disappointed by Amazon’s customer service. Hopefully it’s not the beginning of a trend.Stand clear of this product - not only to save yourself the $130 it cost but also because it’s a safety hazard.Wish I could post pictures of the mangled pole that was supposed to support the umbrella.

Very cheaply made, super thin aluminum & never felt sturdy. The slightest breeze was enough to rock the umbrella back & forth to think it may actually fall over on us in the pool with 4 corner weights attached! Purchased June 11, 2019, this morning August 12, 2019 the very thin string that allows the umbrella to open & close broke completely disconnecting the umbrella and as a result fell to the ground & broke into pieces (not fixable or possible to rig). Please note that the umbrella was not even open during this time, it was in the completely closed & all the way down position... so a guest of wind finally must have taken this unstable thing out!Put the $ towards something that will last longer!

I just love the new area on my yard that I can now sit and enjoy under the shade of my new umbrella! Best of it, I can go sit there at night and have my cocktail with the gorgeous lights that illuminates my table!

This umbrella looks great and we love the lights. That’s about it. It swings hard when there’s a light wind and swings dangerously when there’s a heavier wind. (We bought a separate weighted base) It is also not sun resistant fabric as stated. We have had this for one year and brought it inside October through May so it’s only been exposed to the sun for about 6 months total. It’s very faded and worn looking. (See pictures) Overall pretty unhappy with the product - it wasn’t too expensive but expensive enough to only last one year.

You get what you pay for with this value product. The base is the biggest problem. The bracket for mounting the bricks that weigh the unit down are too thin for the standard cement squares available at Lowe's. I wish we had just spent a little more money on a higher quality, more expensive unit.

Delivered May 22nd, picture take July 14th. Little bummed that after being on my deck in NJ for less than 2 months that Im seeing rust.It does still crank easy and the lighta qre great. Good sun protection and it does move with the wind. Get a real base or screw it down. The lights look amazing and the solar is doing its job so far. Hasnt failed or dimmed at all. Not bad putting it together, my wife helped with 1 part. Also, it didnt come with the wrap around tie thing.

Value for a great price!
