Hard Hat Brim, All Climate

I've had this brim for about a year + now! It has been through all the seasons and still hanging on! I absolutely love it! It's light weight, but not flimsy. It has molded to my hard hat well & does an Amazing job of protecting my face from the sun!

Goes perfectly over my Tipperary Sportage helmet & looks like a custom helhat (all the rage in the equestrian world). It does not fit on my oval shaped Defender One-K, so I keep my sunny ride helmet alongside my night riding helmet. Others have complimented my sun-smart helmet vs the silly equestrian visors (or beaks) marketed to horse people.

Works great just flies off with wind and if you fold it or put something in top of it it does stay bent but that’s just common sense.

This is the best hard hat sun brim I could find from extensive research. Some are so cheaply made they look too ridiculous to wear. The addition of the internal plastic rim is a simple but necessary addition to allow the neoprene to keep its shape. I can see why those without it are criticized for being too floppy and for falling off too easily. This stays in place nicely, even without using the wind strap. While it does add a little extra weight as you'd expect, I don't even think about it after a while. And my hard hat stays in place without falling off when looking down as someone else mentioned. Actually, I sometimes have problems with that with just a brimless hard hat if I don't use a terry cloth internal liner to provide extra friction and/or if the ratchet isn't tight enough. Adding a neck shade (or wearing a collared shirt) is easy enough but not having your face exposed is the main point of sun protection. I have the basic black and am very happy with it in the Southern California summer sun.

It only fir the small hard hats NOT the oval ones. I mean you can make it fit but it doesn’t work as well.

This fit my Bullard "Classic" model C30, non-full brim hard hat I use at work. I use this in conjunction with a Benchmark neck shade that together provide me with full protection from UV overexposure.It adds a tiny bit of weight to my hard hat, but since I wear my hard hat cinched down, I don't have problems with unwanted movement. I selected this brim over the cheaper hard plastic versions available from other brands, because I work unloading tanker railcars and bumping the brim is unavoidable. If I used a hard plastic brim, I am sure I would've had broken it by now.I've only owned it for a month, but I think this brim will be durable, despite my heavy-duty, rough job.

Will not use this. It does not lie flat on the hard hat brim and looks dumb. Unfortunately for me I did not try to use it before the time to return it had run out.

The brim itself is made of a material similar to that of a mousepad, but more riddged and thicker. The inside shapes easily onto a helmet and remains tight. As it is of good quality, I would recommend it.
