Teachers of The Secret - Lisa Nichols

I first saw Lisa Nichols on the internet. This dvd was a waste. It was more like classroom exercises that you were forced to do. I didn't like it at all. It was nothing like the interview that she had done years early. Nothing of substance for me. I gave it to the Salvation Army, hopefully someone else will get something out of it. The one star is for the dvd, not for the seller.

I really, really enjoyed Lisa Nichols' presentation. I found her funny and poignant and with a valuable message to share. How we feel about ourselves can get in the way of our receiving what we desire. I also liked the fact that she made it clear that we need to know where we are now before we can get to where we want to be. And how each speed bump can be used to strengthen our resiliency and teach us lessons that can move us forward faster and with more determination if we only pay attention to the lessons. She felt so real and so loving that it was a pleasure to watch and listen to her. At times I laughed out loud. At times I found myself in tears as I did the exercises she has the audience do. It was a wonderful learning experience.

Lisa Nichols has the gift to connect immediately with her audience. She isn't afraid to share her failures, as she tells of her successes. Too many times motivational speakers present the success part of their message (and life) without sharing the "not so good times." Of course, there isn't a need (or desire) for the speakers to share the gory details of their struggles, but it is good to acknowledge that they may have had some struggles and here's how they overcame: that helps in the audience relating and coming to the conclusion, "If they did it, then so can I." Any way, that is what Lisa Nichols brings to the table, "I had struggles, but I overcame and so can you, in spite of what you may be facing."

I rented this via Amazon Instant Video and enjoyed it so much I am going to purchase it. I was sceptical about it being another "The Secret" rip off but I was wrong. I enjoyed the interactivity of her lecture as it made me get involved with the examples she gave from her own life. She is not preachy at all and is a a warm and energetic speaker with great message given with style. I will watch it a few more times while waiting for my own copy.

Ms Nichols did a bang up job in The Secret, this venue with the audience interacting and stories of success usingThe Secret, was not helpful to me, not enough detail or how to. Watched Thoughts become Things by Mike Dooley, also from The Secret, and it was excellent in laying out steps and how to implement them to get results.

Love Lisa's down to earth approach on matters but the video is just slapped together. NOT Lisas's fault. The video just kept reminding me how, even though The Secret was wonderful, there are those in the movie industry making all these little DVDs to make their last quick buck before The Secret dies down.

I like Lisa Nichols, but this video, although she;s engaging was nothing special.
