Works Perfectly!!
Got my Digifit Connect in the mail yesterday and I love it. Plugged it in to my iPhone 4 and was instantly recognized. It grabbed my Garmin HRM and Garmin Cadence sensor without any issue. The Digifit app and my.Digifit.com are seamless and terrific apps. The Digifit app is free and the upgrade to connect to HRMs and other ANT+ devices is $2.99 NOT $14.99. Their pricing model has changed. So, for the cost of the Digifit Connect and the $2.99 in app upgrade, you will have one of the most comprehensive and robust fitness tracking systems on the market. Oh, and it researching this purchase I called the customer support line to inquire about compatibility - staff could not be nicer and encouraged me to call back to walk through selecting custom settings so I could maximize the value of the device.

2 tries, 2 fails
I've bought the sensor twice and it fails twice, the first time I though that was bad luck and for some reason I got a non-funtional sensor, so I returned it and try again, but the second time didn't work either, I have an iPhone and a Timex HRM and according with the product description it has to be compatible but it is not working, so I waste my money and not only that, I paid for the digifit iPhone app upgrade :(

Only supports Digifit apps
The Digitfit dongle for my iPhone worked with my ANT+ speed/cadence sensor and HRM fairly well. There's a catch: it *only* works with Digifit apps -- not Runtastic, MapMyRide, RunKeeper, nothing. This little tidbit is buried on their website in a FAQ. Why is this? Your guess is as good as mine, but I feel they need to be more upfront about tying you to their apps.Sorely disappointed, I purchased and am using "the other" iPhone ANT+ dongle.

Locked
This could have been a simple ANT+ receiver for the iPhone, which you could use with the Digifit app (as described in other reviews), and which you could also use with many other apps that do things that the proprietary Digifit app doesn't do.I'd be happy to pay $49.99 for such a revceiver and an additional $14.99 for the Digifit functionality, plus maybe more for other apps (or I'd try out the many free cardio apps that use an ANT+ receiver for the iPhone). However it appears that Digifit has locked this device so it ONLY works with their app. So for $49.99 you get a lot LESS than a simple ANT+ receiver. It's like buying a TV that is permanently tuned to only one pay cable station. They do disclose in the description that to get "Full Functionality" you need to purchase their app, but they don't tell you that they blocked every other app (free or pay) so the ONLY thing you can ever use this for is their app.So if you like buying TV's that can only play one station because it's a lot easier than having to search the listings for a good program, this device is for you.If you prefer the freedom to use YOUR hardware with whatever software you like, then the Wahoo Fitness ANT+ receiver is probably more suited to your tastes.[...]

Great Technology - Some Apps don't support this advanced version
The Digifit Connect 2 uses the latest in ANT+ technology to provide a low power consumption solution. The Digifit App was easily able to record a 50 mile bike ride with location services shut off (the GPS in the phone)- I will update with some different phone set-ups in the future. (location on/airplane mode is next)Make sure you pick up the Version 4.0 App, DigiFit Eco System - the version 3.X are still in the AppStore, but are a bit clunky. All the apps run from the same back-end, so if you purchase a V3.X paid app, the upgrade to V4 is free. BTW - the app could use a cadence/speed/mph/distance/time graph with selectable axes (plural of axis?). It has HR/MPH vs time. This is not compatible with the iMapMyRide/Run/Wahoo/Garmin apps. They use an older version of the ANT+ standard, and have not integrated the new libraries - A hats-off to Digifit for providing backward functionality for the fisica key - available at twice the price. I would expect next version apps from the other vendors to use the new standard, thus making this key compatible, in the future. (imho)I've mounted this on my bike with an iphone specific case which can also hold a couple of energy bars, gels. Garmin GSC-10 speed/cadence and a Garmin HM. Set-up was simple. It fit in an old arm-band for running, but couldn't close the retainer strap - not a big deal.

Purchased for my IPAD, works great!
I purchased this along with the Garmin chest strap, and utilize it with my IPAD and Digifit APP, specifically the ICardio function of the app. So far, I am very impressed with this device and the overall APP. I insert it into the IPAD, put the strap on, set the IPAD onto whatever exercise machine I am using (or next to it if no holder) and do my workout. I have been doing interval training, getting my heartrate up and then resting, with several sets, and the app is great for this! Highly recommend. (I don't have the IPHONE, yet, but I will probably buy the IPHONE case for this if I upgrade to an IPHONE).

Does not work with popular apps
If you want to use this dongle with decent apps like runtastic, spend the few extra bucks and buy the wahoo dongle. You get what you pay for, but they don't support the major apps.

Too expensive....
It works , but is too expensive for what it does. I would buy it again if they drop down the price
