A nice speaker - maybe not high end but very good...
It is packaged and has the look and feel of a high end speaker. The cabinet is beautiful and glossy - a fingerprint / smear magnet, especially if you have kids. I found it nice that the grill had a solid feel and was magnetized to the face of the cabinet. It had a good feel to it and stays in place - not some cheap little magnets or junk plastic grill. The look of the tweeter and woofers also said high end to me. It has good heft to it and felt like something that might sell for $750. =-)Having said that - I was replacing my similar Polk Audio CS2 center channel with this speaker. The woofer and tweeter sizes are the same. The main differences was this has some sort of graphite woofers and has the ports in the front for airflow.Since hooking it up about a month ago I would say I am pleased but not overly so. It is a nice sounding speaker and looks nice than my CS2. I don't notice any "chuffing" from the ports and the sound is solid and clean. The bummer is I don't really notice a difference between this and my old Polk center. The CS2 retails for like $400 or something and this says $750. Why almost double? For a name? For the graphite? It just didn't make a big noticeable difference to me and I have a very nice 7.2 system. Fortunately I got this on one of the super sales for around one twenty five and it is certainly worth more than that. The CS2 was a great center - I just couldn't pass up the chance at possibly getting an amazing center channel. Instead I got another great center that looks and feels nicer. =-)

I feel like there arent' any reviews on the net for these
I feel like there arent' any reviews on the net for these, and wanted to write my 2 cents. look and feel nice, heavy. Maybe not as powerful as i thought, but a very clean sound. a sub woofer is a must with these for a full sound as they only cover most of the mid and high.. they sound almost hollow, but i guess that's because i'm used to closed box bookshelf speakers. if these weren't ported, they would not be "boomy" I'm running this throu a denon x2000. i have 3 of these speakers and a sub. Sounds very nice all n' all.
