I love the story. The girl is ok but I love the horse and cry eveeytime I watch it

My granddaughter likes animals. She’s been wanting a horse! I thought she would like it!

My husband loves the emotion behind this movie and asked if we could rewatch it! I find the lead character a little frustrating (disrespectful, self-centered, not compassionate for other people, etc). I would be hesitant to let me daughter watch this during her formative years because the daughter disobeyed over and over again, and in the end the parents gave her what she wanted because she was so passionate about it. It could be a conflicting message for young girls who struggle with authority. The movie was very powerful though and emotional. A fun watch.

This is such a great movie for children and adults alike. My husband bought me this at a local department store and I just loved it. I bought this one for part of my oldest granddaughters Christmas gift. My youngest granddaughter and my grandson came over on Thanksgiving Day and we watched it. It was getting late so I told them that I was going to turn it off and we could finish watching it in the morning. But they begged me to watch the rest of it that night, so of course we did. I highly recommend this movie for children and adults. It will make you smile and also melt your heart.

It's a wonderfully written story about the relationship between a young girl and a wild Mustang that is later named Flicka. The symbolism between Katy and Flicka is center stage and shouldn't be confused with just a young girl rebelling against her father. She is her father! If you listen carefully, you'll see each character grow as the story plays out. The spirit of the independent lifestyle and the bonds of family are alive and well in America. It's a great film to watch with everyone.

Ich kenne Flicka aus meiner Kinderzeit, da gab es damals eine Serie die ich als Kind toll fand. Und genau das war der Grund warum ich mir diesen Film kaufte.Er erzählt die Geschichte eines Jungen der bei seinem vater als Schwächling gilt, doch auch Fürsprache der Mutter bekommt es vom Vater ein junges Pferd das er Flicka nennt. Und als Flicka da ist wird der Junge pflichtbewußter und sie erleben so manches Abenteuer zusammen.

IF YOU LIKE HORSES YOU'LL LOVE THESE FILMS, WHICH CONTAIN ALL THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR A GOOD FILM. FLICKA IS A GOOD RUNNER AND ENTERED FOR RACING, UNTIL NEAR DISASTER STRUCK, AND THANKS TO A LOVING FAMILY AND DEVOTED RODDY MCDOWELL, THE HORSE SURVIVED. LATER ON FLICKA FALLS IN LOVE AND PRODUCES A BEAUTIFUL WHITE COLT- WITH A MIND OF HIS OWN-A FEW DISASTERS DOWN THE ROAD OF LOVE AND PAIN, AND NOT VERY SUCCESSFUL RACING IN BETWEEN THE DRAMAS-DUE TO OTHER THINGS HAPPENING, I FOUND MYSELF GLUED TO MY 40" WIDE TV, AND GREATLY ADMIRING THE BEAUTIFUL WYOMING COUNTRYSIDE TOO.
