I cannot believe that this CHEAPLY made sewing kit got such high reviews. I needed a sewing kit FAST. I am moving and I packed mine away in one of the 300 boxes sitting around my house. Yes, I did mark what was in them, but the boxes are stacked high and three deep and I did not want to strain my back looking for it. I paid $9.95 for this junk AND $5.99 for same day shipping. Like I said, I needed it immediately. My granddaughter is staying with me until we move and she starts school tomorrow and I needed to fix the straps on a dress that she wanted to wear. First off... the little do-dad that helps one thread the needle BROKE as I tried to pull the thread through. Strike one. Then, the safety pin that I needed to mark the strap where I needed to shorten it BENT. Strike two. THEN... the straight pin - one of TWO (whoop-de-do) that came in the miniscule plastic bag with three white buttons lost the top so I was holding nothing more than a sewing needle without the eye. STRIKE THREE! Speaking of the eye of the needle... could they BE any smaller?!?!?!?! Needless to say this is a piece of JUNK! OH! It did come with 12; count ‘em, TWELVE tiny spools of fuzzy thread. It was fun to try to thread the needle after the aluminum foil-like threader broke. The scissors are SO pointy that they put a hole in the material as I tried to cut the thread. I must have been too close to the material. **rolling eyes** Save your $9.95 and take a ride to a cheap department store with the initials WM. You will do your blood pressure a favor. And I don’t even HAVE high blood pressure!

I bought this to sew a button back on a jacket. I only needed black thread, but thought it would be nice to have other colors. Problem is, there's very little thread on those little spools. Just sewing on a few buttons I almost ran out of black thread. I'd rather there was more thread in the basic colors. Other than that the kit was great. Everything you could want and a few things I don't even know how to use.

This is a handy little sewing kit with strong thread. Love that it zips up to keep everything together. I got it for my 12yo who loves to sew for fun. We gave it 4 vs 5 stars because the needle threaders both broke the first day and the scissors are a bit cheap. They'll snip thread but not even thin fabric. Still for the price it's a decent little kit. We bought this for full price and weren't asked for or compensated for a review.

I only have to sew a button on, once in a while, but this little puppy has it all as far as I'm concerned. You can carry it with you on trips and it won't be noticed by the suspension on your car, truck, van, suv or motorcycle at all. There is probably enough thread in the kit to mend a sock, shirt, etc., but that is a little more than I like to sew. I will leave that to a seamstress. For $5.00, you probably won't find a better kit than this.Jim A.

It's ok. Nothing really special about this. When I read all the great reviews, I was excited to purchase it. Then I received it and I've used it. Nothing really to brag about. No difference between this and my mini sewing kit I got at Walmart. Then I went back on the reviews and most of the rave reviews were from people who have gotten a discount. It does what a mini sewing kit suppose to do

Excellent portable sewing kit. Found the zipper a tiny bit too small and so it can be a bit hard to grasp. A beefier zipper would have been perfect.

The kit came quickly and contained everything that I needed to make simple repairs! I was particularly impressed by the variety of thread colors and needles included. The addition of other basic supplies, such as buttons, makes this kit a real winner! As an added bonus, it comes in a small zippered pouch, which is great for storage. Would absolutely recommend!

Item was very neatly packed and has all the essentials needed. I gave this to a friend of mine, who was absolutely thrilled to receive. It was certainly a huge hit. The company, from whom I bought the kit, is definitely customer oriented. To put it simply: THEY KNOW HOW TO PLEASE!!!
