The Alien's Mark (Captives of Pra'kir Book 4) Kindle Edition

The cruelty in this book had me in tears. Every other book in this series handles the discipline with a good dose of care with it. Not this book. He repeatedly tells her that she and her thoughts or desires or how much pain she's in mean nothing to him. Spoiler alert. He shocks her so badly that she wets herself from the pain. No. Just no. Horrible cruelty with no redeeming qualities. Not only that, but an anthropologist that bites everyone? A grown woman, intelligent, educated, and yet she cannot find a better way to express herself? It just didn't make sense to me in the least. I rarely give such negative reviews, but I'm still reeling from anger and tears at how she is treated in this book. Abuse is not romance. Take the dark warning very seriously. I enjoy reading about BDSM, but this was far into the sadistic realm.

You need to be a pretty hardcore sadist or masochistic to enjoy this garbage. While I normally enjoy power exchange & dominance it needs to be measured with care. This is nothing but torture and abuse. I enjoyed the Zandian series much more but even the first three of this series were enough to keep me following these ladies saga. While they all had continuity issues this 4th book and newest author doesn't seem to have read the others. I won't be reading any of her work if this is a sample of it. Nor will I read any more of this series thanks to her ruining it for me. I hope any authors looking to embark on a collaborative project thinks seriously about who they invite.

This series has been great so far, but this book TOTALLY ignored the continuity. The first three books were very clear on the issue of consent, and this author decided to embrace non-consent throughout the book. Why participate in a multi-author series if you don't read the previous books?

Sci-fi. Bdsm. Dark. Alien. Captive from a ship wreck. Doctor Dom. The girls from wreck are split up into "foster homes". Bratty biter goes to a dominant doctor who will tamer her or else.

The hottest book in the series I thought. And the series was hot. My only complaint was that it was too short. But I'm believing there's a sequel here. A great short read.

LOVED IT!

Misspelled words, wrong words, incomplete words. Storylines between books not followed. Events in book contradictory, I.e. wondering if her birth control will work with these aliens in one chapter then 2-3 chapters later discovering that due to childhood leukemia, she has no worries and therefore is infertile, and she is aware of this. So my question is WHY TAKE BIRTH CONTROL WHEN YOU ARE INFERTILE!!!!!!!!! NO F...ING REVIEWING OR COMPETENT EDITING.

This is by far the darkest of this series. It is a medical BDSM story and definitely not for the feint hearted but so very hot. All the characters are well written and described. So easy to read. I wanted more. I have read all the others in this series and I loved them but because I like my stories a little darker I much perfered this one. I highly recommend this book.

OMG one of the best Sci-fi/BDSM books I have read. It is as stated dark in places but oh so good. I don't want to give too much away but the dynamic between Xan and Blythe was great.Love how Xan comes to care for Blythe. Great addition to the series.I received this as an ARC for an honest review.
