I am not one to ever go out of my way to write a review but this product is amazing. I always had issues with having very thick dark body hair. I’ve tried other hair removal products but all they did was make me break out and in the end didn’t even remove the hair. This product does not have a strong odor like other hair removal products usually do and does the job in approximately 7 minutes. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who struggles with body hair because finally I found a product that will make my life easier!! The one thing I do have to say is it doesn’t remove all the hair on the area you are treating but at the same time I would rather use this product and use it again in a few days especially in the winter to thin out the hair. Also this can be used in the most sensitive areas so it’s a perfect hair removal cream for the entire body. Will definitely be buying this product over and over again. I also purchased the slow grow cream by Gigi also!

Somehow this product changed in formula, it worked well a few years ago and I used it today, had it on for all of 2 minutes and i began to feel a burning sensation, I managed to keep the paste on for up to 10 minutes and a few hairs were removed but my area basically looked the same. It did not work. The smell is not as potent as before but the product no longer works. I wish I could return but the window has closed.

I first read reviews on this product from makeupalley.com. It has a very high rating and was recommended from members of the community and other MUAs. The price was very reasonable (under $10) and the shipping was very fast. I ordered on Wednesday morning and received that Friday. I immediately opened the bottle and used it. I am AA and I have very thick coarse hairs and when I usually use hair removal creams I have to leave the lotion on longer than recommended to get all of my hairs removed, with this, I left it on for 10 minutes or less and all of the hair was gone. The only con about this item is that it stinks horribly. My bathroom reeked of this stuff and I had to wash my hands a few times to get the scent off my fingers. My skin wasn't dry and my skin was noticeably smoother. I will continue to repurchase even if the scent is horrid. This stuff works wonders. I will never repurchase Veet or Nair again.

My husband has been wanting me to go bare for quite some time and I've met him with great resistance. When the gray started acting like it owned the joint, I decided to become open to the option of being bare. After lots of research with the best personal shavers, etc (because lets face it, I'm NOT the type to sit spread eagle for a stranger while they rip me clean), I came across the Gigi's. After reading tons of reviews, I decided it was a good place to start without investing a lot. I'd read reviews of others that used all over their privates and didn't have issues. I ordered and it was delivered 2 days later. While on the fence as to what to do, things had gotten a little overgrown. I used it the first night I had it but, since I was very concerned about possible adverse effects, I only used it on the front. I left it on for 8 minutes, wiped it off with a wet washcloth and voila....only about 70% success. I hopped in the shower and considered doing cleanup with a razor but was concerned about irritation. I opted instead to wait out the 24hrs in the directions and try again the next day. Day 2 rolled around and I got adventurous and applied it to everything else, getting very personal with the product. This time by accident I left it on for 10 minutes. Using the same wet washcloth wiping method, I was amazed. Yep I was clean and bare, unbelievable. My only observation was that I wasn't "smooth", I wanted smooth otherwise, what's the point? Nobody wants stubble. I decided 3rd day was the charm since it would have no other "work" to do but clean up stubble and leave me soft and smooth. Another 10 min. and same process and I still have stubble, nothing from this effort. Stubble is the only reason I'm giving the product 4 stars, it would otherwise rate 5. I'm amazed at how quickly, effortlessly, and absolutely painlessly it deforested EVERYTHING. I didn't get nicked by a razor, I wasn't shaving against the growth pattern so I'm crossing my fingers that that means I'll be ingrown hair free. Yes, there is an unpleasant smell but it was not as strong and awful as some have reported, it was definitely endurable. Gigi's got me 99% clean and if I choose to do a little razor work from here, at least I'll be able to see exactly which way to go without causing problems. I do feel sexy being bare and if it only takes 12 minutes to maintain (only 2 of those being active), I'm thinking this may be a new style for me, and did I mention the happy happy happy husband??? ;)))) I almost forgot to mention that online reviews said that the product was used to make them bare but when I got the bottle, it says not to use on genitals. That statement almost made me abandon the effort because I'm NOT going to play with those matches, that's why I've never put my Veet down there, but because I'd read so many contrary reviews, I risked it without negative repercussions. The other thing I did was put hot water in a spray bottle so that I could thoroughly wet the area worked on. This just seemed easier that jumping in the shower first. I was also assisted by the mirror I placed on the edge of the tub and straddled to do the application. Lastly, I made sure that my legs weren't closed during the processing time. Give it a try, I'm happy I did!

I have had trouble with depilatories in the past, and I was very hesitant to purchase another Nair/Veet product, so I thought I would give this a try. I needed something to use on my bikini area because the shave bumps were becoming unbearable. I got this in the mail about two days after purchasing it online and it works great. No burn, no bumps, no pain. It's really a great product. You leave it on for 10 minutes and you can actually see it denaturing the hair. You just wipe away with a damp towel, and voila! soft, beautiful skin. Of course, as with all depilatories, there is that distinct hair removal cream smell. It's not really that overbearing, and I will continue to buy this product from now on for my bikini area!

DO NOT BUY!!!! EXPIRED AND HORRIBLE PRODUCT!! I applied the lotion to my arms and noticed the consistency was extremely thick and the smell was so strong and disgusting. I knew something didn’t seem right, so I looked at the bottle and the expiration date was January 2025. I went into the shower to rinse it off and I had to wash my arms about six times to get the disgusting smell off of my body, and I still smell it. This product is clearly defective and I do not know how they could sell something like this. To make matters worse, I processed the return explaining that it was expired, and they are asking for me to ship it back, which means they will probably resell it to somebody else. Absolutely do not buy. I will go back to using Surgi.
