Good concept but I'd probably just use the corded heating cap
So one of my Amazon binges I decided my hair needed help cause my ends were really dry from travelling a lot. I LOVED the idea of a cordless heating cap as I like the ability to walk around and take care of my household needs while I'm deep conditioning my hair.Long story short I shower...wash my hair....applied my conditioning products. I had a large pot filled with water heating on the stove. Once the water got to boiling I put in the gel caps and turned the water down. Per the instructions I left it in for 5 minutes...used the tongs and removed one gel pack and inserted it into the cap...then continued with the rest. I put this thing on my head and it's not really hot...heck it's not even really that warm. SO...I decided to throw this sucker in the microwave. I microwaved for 30 seconds at a time for about 2 minutes. NOW it's hot but not scalding. I put the cap on my head and just went about my household duties...ok ok I watched TV. About 20 minutes later the cap has started to cool so I took off the cap and felt the conditioning plastic cap over my hair and it was pretty warm if not low grade hot so at least I know my conditioner is being worked in my hair.I really like the concept on this but listen I don't have time to heat up a big pot of water, insert the gel packs and then have to microwave it until it gets to the heat I want. I am going to try this one more time and only use the microwave to see if that makes a difference and to see how long it will take to get to the heat I want. If it doesn't work well then I'm just going to throw it out and take the financial loss. Oh one least thing someone else stated that the cap was small. I will say that it was a little on the smaller side (yes I have a big head and a lot of thick hair). However, I was able to use this without issue. It could have been a tad bit bigger but it still functions.I purchase 100% of all items I review with my own hard earned money at whatever the going price is on amazon. I often have Amazon "binges" and reply heavily on other people's reviews when making my selection. If a product is worth buying I will let you know OR if it is a pass I will let you know as well. Hopefully you find my reviews helpful.

I'm Hands-Free again! (EDITED REVIEW)
EDITED REVIEW: In my review below I said the gel packs should last, however 16 months later, they are no longer heating properly and the wrap is now a frizzed mess. I only used it once a week for my deep conditioning treatments. I will not reorder. I threw the gel packs out and will recycle the terry cloth as a car wash rag. Hair Therapy Wrap was effective for a while, but I find that the wrap/gel packs only last for a little over a year. And for the price I paid I expected more. I downgraded to three stars._________________________________________________________________________________________________________I was tired of using my handheld with the attached hood and decided to give this a try. I can do my deep conditioning hair treatments and continue with my household chores and/or other tasks while at home. The gel packs heat well in the microwave. NOTE: Watch the heating time carefully and by all means do NOT set the packs to heat up in the microwave and walk away. I watch mine like a hawk. My DAEWOO microwave is old with low wattage, but reliable. Through trial and error, I determined that it takes my gel packs about 1 minute and 10 secs to get to an accommodating heat for my deep hair conditioning treatment. The heat lasts well beyond the 45-60 mins that I leave the wrap on. I probably don't need that length of time but being hands free means I can move on to other activities. Once I have it on, I actually forget it on my head :-). I've used the Hair Therapy Wrap three times so far and love it. The gel packs are very sturdy if handled with care. If the instructions for heating are followed, then this wrap SHOULD last me a very long time. I wish I had purchased it sooner rather than struggling with holding my hand dryer for the past few years.

Convenient and easy to use
I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could. I've been using plastic wrap and a large silk scarf to wrap my head to keep it warm. That process was messy--it was hard to get enough plastic wrap the first time. I seemed like, no matter how much wrap I pulled, it wasn't enough, so I'd be stuck trying to pull more plastic wrap with one hand while holding the wrap on my head with the other hand. And the scarf was hard to get wrapped right. Most of the time it would slip off my head.I put up with this far too long. Finally I decided to (a) buy shower caps (don't know why I didn't think of those before!) and (b) buy this product. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and comparing before I settled on this one. I've only used it once, but what a difference! So much easier. It's a bit heavy, but stays put on my head surprisingly well. The only reason I deduct a star is because it doesn't do a good job covering the very front edge of my head, so the hair on the edge of my forehead doesn't get as much coverage or heat.

Great item
This product was definately a game changer. I was hesitant because people were saying their packs burst after the second use, but I took a chance anyway. I bought this because I didnt want to sit under a dryer, sit under a steamer, or even sit with a foil cap on. I normally do deep Coconut Oil conditioning every week and instead of sleeping with it in over night I can speed up the process by heating this baby up and wearing it for 30 minutes here and then 30 minutes there and then washing it out! Worked just the same if not better. This thing didnt even feel hot AT ALL when I took it out the microwave which had me pissed because I wanted it hot to do the job haha...but I kept to the instructions and just put it on...Im guessing its an internal heat thing because u touch it and it barely feels warm but when you put it on it actually gets hot, I also had to put some tissue on my ears because it was kinda burning the tops of them. I am very pleased with this item!! Also so far I have used this around 7-8 times and the packs are still holding strong...I guess if you follow the instructions you will be ok!!
