Turns any basic cheap rug into a plush quality one! Ask the seller to cut it for you before shipping!
Excellent quality. Overall I would say this rug is worth EVERY penny if you want to add a cushion to a basic rug over hard/tile floors. We had ordered some cheap but cute large area rugs from Target and when I put them down on our tile floors there was no cushion to them and I worried that it wouldn't be any different from falling on tile if my kids fell on the rug. Once I put this pad underneath it had much more of the plush feeling of carpet or better quality rugs. I will agree it is definitely NOT a non-skid mat/pad- on top of our tile I could stand on the 8x10' rug and slide it back and forth- which isn't good- so we had to anchor it down with pieces of furniture. So I would not recommend this for a hallway rug or anything that isn't held down by furniture. However for our needs, for a large living space where the kids play, this pad was perfect in that it added a plush layer underneath as a cushion. Also, it does lift the carpet up a bit so note what thickness you are getting before ordering as it may lift a rug up to the point where you can't swing a door open over it. I just ordered my second pad for another rug and took one reviewer's tip of contacting the seller to please trim it for me before shipping, as the thick version was REALLY hard to cut even with really great and sharp sewing scissors. This version is slightly less thick as I need in order to open a door adjacent to the rug.

Best carpet pad I've ever purchased
In the past I've always purchased the sort of rubber, "drawer liner" type rug pads. They always seem to either stick to the floor to the point of leaving marks or just bunch and slip and stretch. I decided to spend up for this pad to try something different and am very glad I did. This pad is nice and thick and adds a plush base to the rug. It holds it securely to the floor without slipping around and it's substantial enough that it doesn't bunch at all. This was shipped rolled up in a large box so that should give you an idea that this isn't simply a rug pad that can be folded down into a little square and put in a box. It's hefty pad that's worth the extra money.

Very cushy, but not "no slip" like the Duo Grip pad
We bought this rug pad when we finished our basement for our 8x10 rug. Upstairs, we had purchased the Duo-Grip rug pad and liked it, but we were intrigued that this product was made out of recycled material so we changed it up this time around. It's a MUCH softer pad underfoot. It's great for lounging on our rug now, and wonderful for our kids. However - it's not slip resistant at all like the Duo Grip which has rubber on one side. Totally moves if we push on it hard enough or if our dogs are playing on it. We plan to purchase the small no-slip rug pad to place beneath it to see if it helps, but it seems like over-kill to me to have two rug pads under a rug. The Duo Grip pad is also pretty soft, so if you want a no-slip AND a rug pad, look into it. But this one is a lot cushier. You decide!

Awesome carpet pad!
I spent WAY too much time shopping for a carpet pad for our 8x11 living room rug. I wanted a cushy feeling underfoot but wasn’t interested in spending as much for the pad as I did for the carpet. I tried the waffle type but that was terrible for this application so I decided to try this one. I am so pleased! It is quite thicker than I expected (almost 1/2”!) and it came larger than 8x11 which was great because then I could cut to fit exactly. I wouldn’t say it is as soft as a foam pad but you notice the thickness without causing a trip hazard. It was definitely more expensive than the waffle but you get a much better pad. We didn’t need a rubber backing but this has something on the bottom which holds the felt together (though I expect over time it may wear down). I also loved that it was made with recycled content.

Great mat for a great price... and another reason why I LOVE Amazon Prime
Amazon... you have done it again. I arrived home to find a coffin-sized box on my front porch, which confused the heck out of me. What was it? How did it get here? Oh yeah... it is the carpet mat that I ordered two days ago... Because I hardly had to wait for it to be delivered, I hadn't even thought about it since I clicked "purchase." And FREE shipping! Seriously, this box was HUGE! For FREE! I have totally made my money and more back on my Prime membership. As far as the product goes, it is a nice, thick rug pad that makes the large Oriental rug in our living room much more plush, (the rug is old and is thinning out a bit, but this pad does a nice job of making it nice and cushy again.) Very pleased! Thanks again!

Nice Rug Pads
We recently installed cork flooring in our entire house which has necessitated buying lots of rugs. I have now bought several of the Endurance Felt Rug Pads to go under the rugs. The pad are well made, arrive promptly and provide a nice cushion to the rugs. All have been slightly large for the rugs they are going under but they are easy to trim. We have used the scraps for furniture legs. I would definitely recommend this product to others. One side of the product is rough and seems to be doing a good job holding the rugs in place. We have not had slipping issues.

Great rug pad
This shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. I cut it to size easily with a pair of orange-handled Fiskars. I put the pad down, put the area rug over it, drew a line with a pencil, then cut. It isn't non-slip, but I have part of the rug under the couch and have no problems with sliding. It's a thick pad that is a joy to walk on. I would definitely order this again.

the pad is good but problematical
I recently got my wood floors refinished; for the past seventeen years, I'd had those thin, rubbery, honeycomb-patterned rug pads (purchased at Home Cheapo, my bad) that, over time, had wedded themselves to the polyurethane on my floor, ruining the finish (my floor refinisher said that their material was too close, chemically, to the varnish, which made the two of them more willing to bond). Not wanting to repeat that mistake, I asked my refinisher what I should buy, instead, and he recommended felt. He said that, given the large size of my rugs (around 9 X 12 or so), I didn't need any special non-slip backing, that just the felt would be fine, and the weight of the rug would hold everything in place. Wrong! Arranging the pads and then placing the rugs on top of them has been an ongoing ordeal because the pad slips across the floor with the least little movement of the rug on top; even with heavy furniture weighing it down, the pad is all too willing to shift and skate. The quality of the pad itself seems high--but I desperately wish I'd opted for a more grippy model from this company. I also screwed up in another way: I mixed up their instructions for how to get them to give a custom cut to each pad with another company's; as a result, my pads weren't trimmed as I'd requested, leaving me with some arduous scissors work that could have been avoided. So my advice is, go with the grippy pads, and make sure, unlike me, to follow the directions on how to request custom trimming.
