Happy Birthday Hamster (Hot Rod Hamster)

This is SO SO SO CUTE! Unfortunately, we bought ours used and it was very damaged, but I definitely recommend buying it new - so worth it. The pictures are so cute and the story is definitely fun and engaging for little ones. We love Hot Rod Hamster too. They are both equally adorable, although Hot Rod might be a little more exciting, just by virtue of the subject (car racing). But this one has a surprise element too! :) TOTALLY recommend both. I wish there were more!

My kid loves the Hamster series! Just a bit expensive for this particular book if you ask me, even the used ones! But it is a fun book and kids love it.

We purchased "Hot Rod Hamster" at my daughter's school book fair. We found it surprisingly cute and love the rhymes. My 3 year old asks us to read it to her at least 2 nights a week at bedtime. She can recite the entire book herself now. When I saw there was a sequel I knew I had to order it for her 4th birthday this month. It arrived today and I'm delighted to see that it's just as adorable and fun as the first book. The story is cute, especially that it's a surprise party for hamster. And the illustrations are so vibrant and engaging. This might be my new "birthday party gift" I have on hand to give out at birthday parties we are invited to- it's great for both boys and girls.

The first time I read it I thought it wasn't terribly creative, but the illustrations are bright, my kids want to read it a zillion times, and after having read it a zillion times I'm actually not sick of it. If you're looking for a book you don't mind re-reading that will keep a toddlers attention, this is a good pick.

I love all of the Hotrod Hamster books. I bought the original book for my parents to give to my son and nephew since Papa builds hotrods and we fell in love with the characters. They're so much fun to read and the whole family gets in on the fun. So, of coarse we would choose Happy Birthday Hamster.

This is one my child's favorite books. He just loves the hamster series. We even bought a copy for a relative!
