When it arrived it was in a bag inside another bag and that's it. One of the spade connectors was bent but easily straightened.You don't need to remove the oven from its housing to replace this element but switch off the wall switch and the rcd for the oven to be safe.There's just two phillips screws at the base of the element .Once undone you pull the element towards you revealing the spade connectors.They have locating clips which you need to bend up to release the connectors. I placed the new element underneath and swapped the connectors one at a time to eliminate dropping the wires back into the holes and having to remove the whole oven.Don't forget to press the cips back down before you push the spades back on the new element.The element sits in protruding parts on the oven wall to keep it at the top of the oven.Once in place refit the two screws.Then turn the power back on.There's a protective oily film on the element which quickly burns off then your ready to go.I replaced ours because one side blew but seeing how much hotter the new one is compared to the old unit the whole of the old unit was on its way out.Considering you would be looking at around £50 labour charge plus parts to do this its well worth trying this yourself if your confident enough.
