Quality Tools and Well-built Ergonomics
The media could not be loaded. The non-contact voltage tester is a pretty cool little device. I have noticed that it won't do anything for battery-operated devices - but then I didn't really expect it to. Just putting this here for those of us who don't know any better... Even with a powered device like a cell phone charging by USB port from a computer it gives no indications. The functions it has are great. When a battery is installed it is ready to go, and doesn't need anything else but a user to hit the button continuously. The tester will give a little test beep and a flash of the indicator light each time you press the button. The button has a nice tactile click as you press it, and as you release it. As you near a device that has supplied wired power to it, it gives a continuous audible tone and the light stays on. It has a good mold pattern, and very good grip surface, with textures areas. The pen also has a nice handy little pocket clip. This device does not appear to be water resistant, because it has an open pathway to a speaker-output. Do not get it wet. The model I received with this pack was the GVD-3504.Next we'll move to the other device - The GFI-3501 GFCI Outlet Tester:Unfortunately, I don't have any GFCI devices in my home to test this with. But, I was able to try and use it on several outlets in my home. I even tried it on an outlet in a back room that I was fairly-sure had blown in the past, because I remember an arc-flash coming out of it at one point in time and black soot on the outside of the cover, but never used it after that. This tester confirmed that it seemed to be okay and in working order. Now I won't have any reservations about trying to use it again. There are 3 tinted covers for lights on the front of the device, 2 orange and 1 red. The device has a 3-prong US plug on it, and appears to be solid (no cuts or seams on the grounding plug) and not simply bent sheet steel as you see on some cheaper appliances and devices. In the middle of the device there's a nice inward slope, with 4 ridges, for easy grabbing, pulling, and pushing of the device. This really helps with pulling it in and out of stubbornly tight sockets. On both sides of the device there is a reference sheet to what the indicated lights means, and is very helpful to not have to carry around a paper manual that would get destroyed within a week's time with daily use by some trademen. The device seems to be of decent quality, and I look forward to using it more in the future.

Great product
The accuracy, quality, and ease of use was excellent. The functionality was easy to use and the brightness of the light was perfect.

Works very well much cheaper than similar products
Both these items work well, even when I switch a lamp off with a switch then on contact voltage tester identifies the breaker is not off and there is still power at the outlet. The GFI tester works very well, similar to a product that was digital and more than 2x the cost. The only issue I have is the coloring of the label. The yellow and white markings to determine the wiring condition are very hard to tell apart. I downloaded the picture of the unit from the Amazon site so I can confirm the colors. The more I use the GFI tester the more I will not have to look back at the picture for reassurance.

Shockingly Good
Sorry for the pun. These worked great for me. I am not easy on my tools but when it comes to wiring you have to be safe.

Simple and easy
Not fancy or expensive but great to check outlets, cords, and even checking my motorhome for “ hot skin”

Work as designed
The GFCI Outlet Tester works as described, testing both GFCI and regular outlets for proper wiring connections. The tester actually tests GFCI outlets via a button on the unit that when depressed will trip the GFCI. You will need to manually reset the GFCI to restore it to working condition. The Non-contact Voltage Tester is very sensitive, indicating live circuits from a generous distance away for most testing scenarios.

Not bad as very basic testers.
The outlet tester is fine, just a basic gfci tester, works as designed. Well made, I've seen some that fall apart due to poor quality. This one seems more durable. The noncontact pen is too sensitive, and has no real off like similar products. If you want to put this in your toolbox, you'll need a plastic shim on the battery to keep it from going dead. Every time it moves around it will bump the button and run down the battery.I like the noncontact pens. I've have several, this one is overly sensitive. If you're working remotely near anything that is energized, it is useless because it will trigger.I was working in one J box, the next stud over had a live switch, and this was triggering. Had me chasing my tail for 15 minutes, before I realized it was actually off. I'm not getting rid of it, but it's not as useful as a standard pen. The boxes were inside to each other, on adjoining 16"oc studs. Usually you have to be less than 1" to trigger.

Price is comparable for what you get.
I'm in safety by trade and wanted a simple GFCI/Live wire tester for my daily use. This is definitely a cheaper kit but I think for the cost it's great for a weekend warrior or someone who won't be using this every day.Overall I'm happy with the quality and I think the price is reflective of its quality. Nothing exceptionally bad or good about it. Just a barebones kit.
