Grammatica pratica della lingua italiana: New Italian grammar in practice

I’ve been studying Italian for 5 years and this is by far the best textbook I’ve used. Great content, challenging (but not overly challenging), engaging, interesting, fun, and full of great exercises. If I could meet Susanna Nocchi in person, I would hug her because she’s such a master at writing Italian workbooks. I attribute a great part of my own self-teaching to her.

I expected a workbook to supplement my online language class and what I have is a fun and challenging way to practice my Italian.

Doesn't inundate you with exceptions. Exercises are very good. Like the periodic progress tests.

It is a lot fun using this grammar book, you will find very informative games. It's a little bit difficult in the beginning if you are a beginner. But you will find it much easier to follow later on. Highly recommended for serious learners of Italian.

I think this is a really great book. My Italian teacher who was an Italian professor of 18 years at UT Austin, told me to get this book. It's a great self study book. It emphasizes grammar usage and not vocabulary. So you'll have to look some of the words up.

It is an excellent book. It was recommended by an Italian young woman who is also an Italian teacher. My own Italian teacher also highly recommends. I will be using it for a long time.

The book parallels and adds to the textbook and workbook Italian Espresso. It expands on the grammar in the textbook in a very helpful way. The copy I received had many of the exercises in the first 72 pages written in - which I don't recall being identified in the offering.

I like this grammaar book very much. I have been learning Italian for 2 years now, and love it. I have found it reasonably easy to learn, as I did Latin (albeit many years ago), up to A level, and have also learnt Spanish and French. I find the exercises quite challenging and wouldn't recommend the book to a complete beginner. The book I used for the first 2 years is Italian grammar, by Alwena Lamping(part of the BBC active language series), but feel I now need something a bit more detailed. Hope this review is useful.

This was recommended by our Italian class teacher and she knows her stuff. After each grammar rule is explained, plenty of exercises are listed to test it. I would recommend it.

I use this book in conjunction with an Adult Learning Course in Italian Stage 3+.It is very useful and challenging for homework exercises and classroom learning.

Good clear explanation of the grammar. Very useful revision and self testing, with answers.
