Oxide Finish Talon Q/R Sling Swivels

I needed a sling swivel for a 20-gauge Remington Express Jr. Compact with an 18.75" barrel. A barrel/magazine tube clamp with a sling swivel stud came with the Remington magazine extension kit I installed. I also purchased a Tech Ten Tactical Swinger Sling Mount that fits a SOPMOD butt stock. I really recommend Tech Ten Tactical's product line (the owner is a retired Master-At-Arms for USN Seals). The combination of the Talon stainless steel sling swivel on the front and the Swinger Sling Mount allows easy shouldering to either side without causing the sling to become twisted. I chose the Talon due to its (relatively) quick-release feature that only requires the spring-loaded pin to be depressed and the body rotated to remove it from the swivel stud. The swivel makes no noise when it moves. It appears to be well constructed and as strong as the swivel stud it's attached to. The only thing I'm unsure of is whether it's made in the USA (as seen on the front of the package) or in China (as seen on the rear of the package). I think this combination is going to work fairly well for me. As an aside, I also mounted a CDM Gear barrel clamp that came with one 3-slot Picatinny rail that attaches to either side of the clamp. The opposite side of the clamp has a QD cup integral to the clamp itself. Since no company makes a lighted forearm like Surefire or Streamlight does for a 12-gauge Rem 870, I'll be adding an extra 3-slot rail from CDM Gear so a switch can be mounted on the left side of the barrel and a light mounted on the right side. I've put more thought and planning into this part of the project than I meant to, but I believe this combination is going to work fairly well. It's much more of a challenge finding parts for a 20-gauge versus a 12-gauge in case you haven't noticed. Maybe more manufacturers will step up their game as 20-gauge would seem to be preferred for those who are recoil sensitive, etc. Good luck with your project!

I put these on my .22 cal Marlin 495 semi-auto so I could use a military web sling. I also added aperture Tech Sights, and now I have a mini-military rifle. I've used it for one Appleseed and lots of range visits and the sling rides nice through them. I'm sure they would be fine on a larger rifle as well, but my Garand has a nice set built in so I haven't tried it. :-)

Have over a dozen sets and have donated at least a dizen more, all of which have held up to hard use as support and stabilizing during shooting, used in conjunction with canvas GI slings.Used to be made in China, then made in USA (big brand sporting goods store stopped carrying them).Most recent purchase (5-pairs) all marked "Made in China". Possibly old inventory...

These are great....second set I've ordered. I'd recommend these.

Not the most exciting product to review but these arrived promptly (a few days, rather than two, but I ordered them on Christmas Eve so that's entirely understandable). The appear to be of excellent quality, the springs work easily, the intall effortlessly and they fit. I might follow up after a year or tow of use if they break but looking them over I doubt that will happen - these feel and look extremely well made and I'm confident they'll do just fine. Good vendor, too.

Never heard of these, just needed some good swivels for my Henery. They looked good and got good reviews. I’m not easily impressed. All I can say is WOW! Buy with confidence. I think you will be more than happy with them.
