Great wireless earphones. Great price
Review of SoundPeats TruecapsulesOverviewI have been using the new SoundPeats Truecapsules for just over a week now & I've given them a fairly rigorous going over. I've tried them out on everything from Film & TV watching, audio books to hard rock & metal. And I have to say that overall I am impressed. They have a good solid sound which can travel away from the source for a good range. They are comfortable in the ear and have three different bud sizes to select from for added comfort more specific to the individual. The design is good and look refined and classy with excellent build quality. Would I recommend these to others? Quite simply..... Yes, I would. So lets have a look at these new offerings from SoundPeats in a little more detail.RangeThe first test I performed was to check their range away from source. I had the Truecapsules in listening to the new Muse album and left my phone in the kitchen and went upstairs the signal remained strong. Only when I went into another upstairs room and closed the door did the sound start to stutter and cut out, which is quite impressive considering that my walls are all solid. I then went from the kitchen to the summerhouse at the top of my garden whilst the phone remained in the kitchen sound started to break as I entered the summerhouse which is around 12ish metres, which again is a very good range.ComfortThe Truecapsules are very comfortable to wear they fit snugly in the ear and there is a selection of three various bud sizes to fit a selection of different sizes of ear canal. After about half an hour of use I kind of forgot that I was actually wearing them at all, apart from being able to hear music in my head obviously, which is a plus in the comfort department. Also they cut out a nice amount of background noise from the world around you. Not completely (which suits me as I still like to be able to hear things around me when using headphones) but enough so that you can still fully enjoy what your listening to.Sound QualityThe all important checking of the SoundPeats Truecapsules sound quality was carried out using the Onkyo HF Player app (which is without question the very very best app for playing music of any genre & comes equipped with various equaliser pre-sets and a fully adjustable equaliser for the very personal preference) for listening to music of a wide variety of types ranging from classical, rock/metal & folk through to dance and pop. In all of which they performed admirably. And the Smart Audiobook Player to listen to audio books and Amazon Prime Video for TV & films . The SoundPeats Truecapules have a good clear robust sound with a good range of pitch without any fuzziness of sound. Also a very good clarity to which you can pick it the individual instruments in an orchestral piece like the “ting” of a triangle to the haunting majesty of the breakdowns of deep trance. The stereo effect is very good with no lag between each ear which I have had in other brands which results in a sort of strange echo, but none of that hear though. Alas it's not all perfection however. They are sadly a little lacking in the base department don't get me wrong the base is acceptable but they could be a little more basey without damaging the music your listening to. For listening to audio books and watching video content they are excellent. Good crisp clear sound with no muffling of the narrator's voice at all, so spot on there for audio books. When watching videos/TV, again a very strong performance your able to clearly hear the dialogue in scenes whilst still being able to pick out background noises whilst explosions are loud enough but again a smidge light on the base but overall a really good performance here.StyleThe Truecapules do look quite nice in a clean matt black and the flat design to the outer chasse is very attractive with the new SoundPeats logo down the stem. I particularly like the lights which are sharp and visible. White when in use and red when charging, but not too bright. I use a pair of SoundPeats Truengine ear buds normally and the lights on these are a very bright blue and red and when using in a darker environment will light up the entire room so the Truecapules are a definite improvement here. The case is nice and serves as protection and a portable charging dock for your headphones. My one complaint here is that the lid is not opaque and you cannot see the lights of the earbuds through the lid to see if they’re charging or not without opening the case. This is a great feature that the Truengine earbuds case does have and I’d have liked to have seen this carried over to the Truecapules case.UsabilityThe Truecapules are easy to use for the basic controls with the multi touch functions being able to give quite a wide range of functions from starting and stopping your music, skipping tracks answering incoming calls and even doing a verbal commanded search using Google assistant all by tapping the correct earbud in the correct way which is brilliant. If you can remember the correct tap command for each function which beyond start and stop, I could not. So I tended to control them from my phone which was fine for me, but hey that's just me, a younger more tech savvy hand may be far more adept at this sort of thing than I. A small thing that I was a little downhearted by is that only the right ear bud can be used independently from the other. For me this is a bit of an annoyance as I am left ear dominant. Again I draw a comparison the SoundPeats Truengine earbuds where either earbud can be used independently from the other, which is a great feature. In both cases though only the right bud has a mic.Charge LifespanAs stated at the beginning of this little review of mine, I've been using the SoundPeats Truecapules for over a week now on average for two to three hours a day and within that time I've only recharged the case once. Which I’d say is fantastic, just return the earbuds back to the case after each use and they charge themselves but only having to recharge the case once in all that time is simply excellent. So in conclusion I do recommend the SoundPeats Truecapules as a great pair of true wireless headphones. They are comfortable and look good. The sound is well rounded across the board whether taking calls, listening to music and books or watching TV, with touch controls and a lengthy battery life these earbuds will impress. And for the price bracket of under £40 they are truly worth it. I will continue to use my SoundPeats Truengine earbuds as they have a bit more base which I like but they don't have the excellent touch control system of the Truecapules. So for now both pairs live in my bag.Reviewed by Al O'Neill(A SoundPeats flower)

Incredible sound, brilliant fit , with some annoying minor flaws.
Let's start with the bad.My least favourite part of this product is easily the carry case. I love that it's small and compact, and carries about 4 charges, but the build quality has been clearly skimped on here. The lid is impossible to flip up with one hand, because of the lack of lack of grip. Opening the case is often annoying. The case is also annoyingly unbalanced: once you do manage to open up the lid, the flimsiness of the top part makes it hard to just shake the earphones onto your palm, because the lid just closes on you. Instead you have to go in and take each one out, one by one. This sounds like the most particular complaint, but if you use these everyday, this issue effects you all the time! I can't just pop out the earphones while I'm walking along, using just one hand. It's disappointing because this should technically be a such a simple issue to fix. I've also noticed that after just a few weeks of use, the tightness of the lid mechanism has definitely weakened; it's very soft now. Mildly disappointing overall. All of these might be deal-breakers if these earphones didn't sound as amazing as they do. Moving onto the good now.For some reason, whether a fault of my phone or not, for the first 3 days of use, these earphones were incredibly quiet, disappointingly quiet. I had to pull the volume up to max to listen to music at the levels I'm used to (50-60%). However, one morning they just started working as expected, with loud going up properly loud. They definitely sound better than they cost. I'd say I'm fairly particular about my sound, and these are quality, very much on point. Bass can be very deep when I need it to be, but it handles acoustic with gorgeous & bright clarity just fine on the other end. They are my go-to listening devices, even past my mid-range studio-headphones.Moreover, I can't emphasise how easy these are to use. Given that bluetooth on your phone is already turned On, these earphones will be connected and ready to play music in the few seconds between you taking them out of the case and setting them into your ear. You'll never waste a second trying to get these to connect. If you've ever used Airpods, or have seen someone use Airpods, these are as fast, and as effective (and sound soooo much better!).The effectiveness in part comes from the brilliant sound-isolation. If I have these on, even without music playing, it reduces background noise by over 50%. They fit so comfortably in my ear after a few days of getting used to them that I don't ever need to take them off. I've been running, jumping etc with these on and they've never really shown a sign of coming loose, which is fantastic because I've never had in-earphones fit as well as these have. With the battery life always hitting the advertised 4 hours+, I've never had these run out of battery on me (chuck them in the case between listens and they'll always be fully charged). Also, they look pretty good in your ear, and don't stand out as harshly as glossy Airpods.Sound quality in calls has always been fantastic as well.Overall, I highly recommend these, as I don't a better product exists within £50 of them.
