This is a must for a caregiver.
My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a few years ago and I am her primary caregiver. She has recently started wandering during the night. The wandering had gotten so bad, I was afraid to go to sleep. A friend of mine mentioned that I should check on installing some type of security or alarm that would trigger when the door open. I am on a fixed income so I am unable to pay the high price of a security system. I found this one and ordered it. I was skeptical of it working properly due to its inexpensive price. I received it on November 4th and installed that afternoon on my mother’s bedroom door. At 3:00 Am the alarm triggered and woke me immediately. I ran to my mothers room and she had just stepped out of her bedroom door. I turned the alarm off and guided my mother safely back to bed. This has been a godsend to me. I sleep much better knowing I have this alarm on her door. It was very easy to install and directions are very easy to read and understand. I highly recommend this product especially for caregivers that have loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s. It has been installed since the fourth and so far there has been no false alarms or malfunctioning with the product

Very loud, but good for outside doors
I got this to put on my daughter's bedroom door in the hopes of getting her to stop coming out of her room at night. This thing was loud! Too loud for the middle of the night toddler door opening. I moved it to our back patio door, though, and it will work great there if someone breaks in in the middle of the night. However, maybe it's a bonus that it scared my daughter so much that she doesn't open her door again without permission. So I guess it worked, just too well. It works much better for a burglar alarm, though.

Peace of Mind
We live in an apartment so we can’t install a security system. I’m home alone with a baby most of the day so this was the next best thing. It’s more for peace of mind especially when I’m in the back and can’t hear if someone were to come in. Now I would definitely know because this is very loud. Easy to install and switch off an on. You can see the picture I did have to stick a piece of cardboard under the door sensor to get them to line up, because out trim is thick.

Easy to install and loud
I bought this for our basement door. This alarm was super easy to install and loud enough to hear upstairs when the basement door is closed.
