Sand Grabber 10009 Beach Umbrella Anchor

I know this will last for years just like my last one.It works! It's sturdy, won't crack or fall apart and for sure your umbrella won't blow away if you dig down deep enough to the line they suggest on the post. You won't be disappointed!

Best way to secure an umbrella ... EVER! Worked great on our beach vacation. We took this bad boy to 4 different beaches and it worked on all of them. Some had fine sand, some had coarse sand, it didn't matter it always held. Even in super high winds with a 8 ft canopy umbrella. This is one great product, and for a great price! Our pole was 1.25 inches in diameter and it fit great with a little room to spare.

We bought this to reduce our consumption of plastic with beach gear. It really is the only affordable option we could find on Amazon. The reviews were conflicting, and it was unclear exactly what size umbrella would fit in this anchor. However, we are glad we took the chance. There is a little piece of plastic on an inside part, but the rest is solid metal. It twists into the sand fairly easily and fits our umbrella with a 1 1/4" or 32 mm diameter pole with at least another 3 mm to spare. It is not heavy or bulky and fits easily into a bag we bring to the beach.

Works well keeping a large umbrella up all day (even in the crazy winds from outer bands of hurricane). Takes some muscle to get it down all the way into the sand. That’s why the metal is much better than plastic, no worries about snapping it while twisting it down

Holds secure when wind gusts come up. If you twist until the plate is in the sand also, it keeps the umbrella from tipping throughout the day. I also recommend drilling a hole in your umbrella pole so that the securing screw actually goes into the pole instead of just pressure against it, as a good wind will otherwise work your umbrella out of the anchor.The one bad thing about this is that after 1 season of use, the paint on the bottom has worn off and the metal is rusting pretty bad.

We moved down to the beach recently, and have yet to find the Sand Grabber we had, so I had to purchase another one. Screw this thing into the sand, then pile sand up on top of it, and your umbrella will not blow away! It really does work better than any others we have purchased in the past. Lasts a long time - just be sure to rinse it off after each use and put it in a dry place.

The sand is quite hard with a lot of shells so it is challenging to secure an umbrella at the beach where we live. This is the second sand grabber we have purchased since the first has worked so well. We wanted to set up two umbrellas - so we purchased this product again. Even with the salt air and water - it has not shown any signs of rusting so far.

Excellent. It seems like you are screwing this into the ground forever but it held still.

We brought the sand grabber to Mexico and have used it on the beach a few times so far with very good results. It does a good job of holding our beach umbrella in pretty high winds and is very easy to use. It does require a bit of strength to screw it deeply into hard sand. Very happy so far!
