More Than a Kiss

Gardner and Bennett are usually my tried and trues for lighthearted lesfic reading. More Than a Kiss, however, was too quirky and silly for me. For this particular story, it seems like the authors were more concerned about packing in the laughs, rather than building their plot and characters. I found myself frequently aggravated with my inability to believe in the characters or their motivations. Gardner and Bennett are still my faves, but this book is not so much.

All I can say is good thing my bathroom is close. I never laughed so hard. Paint firing tanks...burning poo, cats hanging in trees. What more can you ask for. I thought all the characters were great they made the storyline fun. Poor Jordan has to draw blood just to see her love. This a fun lite reading that is what this world needs right now since there isn't much to laugh about. I definitely recommend this book.

A big series of mishaps that came together in a thoughtful, funny and witty way. This is my second read by this comedic duo and I am already looking forward to the next book. Genuine characters and while a disturbing stalker involved, it was handled with defiant humor before things got ugly. The story plays out with twists and turns not expected and makes you laugh out loud eager to see what happens next. A fly on the wall feeling as the tale develops and I am hooked on this couple's style of writing. A clear comedic romance and a great read!

If you like sitcoms and fast paced dialogue then you are going to love More Than a Kiss. Every character the authors have created is bursting with personality, wit and all kinds of charm. There are some moments ( the poetry reading) when I was shaking I was laughing so hard. Well done.Hidden in amongst all the silly is a sweet love story. Sadly it is overshadowed by all the mayhem and clever comments tossed about by the cast. I found myself wishing there were a few less one liners and stereotypical lesbian jokes and a bit more meat to the story but that's just me and no reflection on this fun and fast paced ride.If you are a Big Bang Theory fan you are going to love this book.

The two authors of this book have collaborated together to write a refreshing, entertaining and delightful story. I sincerely hope that some of their characters are not based on real people they have encountered. But then maybe they have met some of the characteristics from someones they have met. Enjoy but hold unto your sides!

I loved this book. It was hilarious and heart warming to see them go to any lengths to be with each other.

Sheesh I never laughed so hard in my life continuously. Sweet!Love and laughter with a little bit of romance thrown in, yeah this story was awesome in reading a good book. And everyone came out (no pun intended) on top.

This book was very funny! I was sitting in the waiting room while getting an oil change and couldn't stop myself from literally laughing out loud a few times. The characters are quirky and there are some very silly situations, but it's all part of the fun of the book. It's also a very quick, easy read. I managed to breeze through it in no time at all.

This is the kind of thing you'd have seen in a screwball comedy in Doris Day's time, lots of ridiculous and funny things going on to conspire to bring Amy and Jordan together (never mind the rest!) It's silly and cute and funny and adorable. I first bought this book a few years ago and it ended up at the bottom of my Kindle list so I was delighted to rediscover it and giggle along with the antics. Definitely a book to cheer up a dreary weekend

This is one of the best comedy romances that I have read for a long time. And it has the added bonus of being good lesfic. The book made me laugh out loud so much that friends around me started to question my sanity!

A delightful and highly entertaining romance that begins with a battle of cat & human vs. remote controlled car that results in a trip to the emergency room (but not the vet's)! Full of quirky characters and hilarious situations this book will leave you giggling and forced to share the antics out loud. This lovely, light read is a keeper.

Not that much to the plot, but it was really funny. The humour managed to be both slapstick yet quite clever in parts. It was obvious that the writers had no intention of taking either themselves of the book too seriously. The characters were very heartwarming. Can't wait for their next book

This book is hysterical. It had me laughing out loud and I'm someone who never laughs period. So if you need a good laugh, this is well worth a shot.

Good story but was kinda confused with all the titles ! Not a true romantic book but ok !!! Wasn't quite gripping enjoyed it tho!!!

The writing is funny and witty the characters are Unique and awesome I love this book I really recommend it. It's fabulous I laughed so hard so many times. Brilliant just brilliant

I laughed. I snickered. I laughed so hard I nearly had to go to the washroom. I love this book. Again another book I fell in love with from Bennett and Gardner. The dialogue is entertaining. You probably know at least 2 people in real life that you will meet in this book. It is a funny, witty love story. Buy it you won't regret it.

The focus of this book seemed to be about writing something funny but it misses the mark and only a couple of instances had any real laugh out loud humor. Because of this focus the story suffered in my view. Other reviews seem to find the humor so I guess it depends what tickles your funny bone.

Silly, funny, lovely to read! Go grrrls! Sweet romance with some great slapstick scenes and a bit of suspense thrown in.

This is so funny I would recommend it to everyone especially those in need of a good laugh.
