Uniform Awesomeness
About this product: 30 ball bearings in 3 packages, a capped plastic tube in a paper box, just what you would expect. I am using them as linear bearings in a CNC router. For this application precision is paramount and so far these guys provide. I put 6 of them in a caliper (2 from each box) and the result... a uniform .8655 inch (21.98 mm) from 4 locations on each bearing for the outer diameter. For the Inner diameter .315 to .3155, again, from four locations. The biggest variance I could fine was from the inner bore to the outer face, 0.272 to 0.275, three thousands tho is not much for most applications, including mine, and is likely from a single over sized ball. The gap between the face of the housing and the inner bore is big enough to make cleaning and lubricating easy, which is good because the mid-weight oil they are shipped in is quite thick when its cool and stiff when cold.Pros: Uniform to with in 0.0005 inches. Smooth operation. Easy to maintain.Cons: Cleaning and lube required before any use.Good and bad: The thick, abundant oil protects bearings for shipping while offering rust and corrosion prevention. However it takes a little bit of work to get all that oil cleaned out for use and to prevent dirt and dust entrapment. Over sun baked streets in the summer I would think such a thick oil would be fine in a skateboard but in a frozen work shop its just to viscus to work around.Final Thoughts: For the price its hard to find any real fault in these bearings. The oil is an inconvenience for my application but one that can be remedied in about ten minuets for all thirty bearings. For the price these are good bearings that with a little work can be outstanding.

How about inline skates? Yes!
I got tired of paying $25+ for eight pairs of bearings for my Seba FR inline skates. So, I tried these. Perfect fit for Gyro 80mm 85A wheels and for the stock Seba Space Invader wheels. These are greased, not oiled, so they don't have that 15 second spin when turned in hand; more like 5 seconds But, when they are hot from rolling, they spin better. They need to be broken in. Then, they spin just fine. Are they similar to a $40 set of ABEC-9 bearings when broken in? No, they're still slower because, again, they're greased. That said, if one must have faster, they could degrease the bearings with any standard cleaning solution, dry them, and add a light oil and then they'd be much like an AbEC-7 bearing, at least. Great vs oil has its advantages, too, such as less need to reapply. For me, I'm thrilled to get so many races of bearings for less than half of the name brand's cost. And, if they get gritty or rusted, I might clean them one time, but after that just toss them. With the name brand expensive jobbers, I'm more likely to keep cleaning and using beyond their expected life just to avoid another money outlay. I'm happy with these. Bye now.Addendum: these are seven steel balls in steels races and a nylon cage. Degreased, then air dried (no water) and lightly oiled (WD40, No. 9 Formula, Boeshield T9, etc.), they are fast and good. I’m using them in my inlines with awesome success.

Came Early, 32 not 30
My order of these bearing ended up coming 3 days early, which is great! But in the package it comes with 4 sets of 8 bearings. Each set of bearings is in a transparent tube that holds the 8 bearings. One of these had came open and the bearings in it were being tossed around in the envelope they were shipped in. That's really the only downside. One pro is that it actually comes with 32 bearings and not 30, which is great. There is one more downside however. That is, straight out of the package, they do not spin very well at all. However that is not a problem for me because I'm using them as the outside weights for fidget spinners, it would be a problem to someone who purchased them to actually skate with. That is why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5. Overall, it is a good product and works great for the outside weights of fidget spinners but if you are planning on using them for a skateboard or longboard, don't. There are way better bearings out there that are only a little bit more money. (One suggestion is Bones Reds). That is my review.

They do have a bit of resistance due to the grease.
I got the bearings because I needed them for my 3dD printer to use as a filament spool holder/guide. I read the other reviews on the low quality and expected as much since, they're pretty inexpensive but also since most of the writers stated that they are packed with grease and spin with a higher resistence compared to other bearings.Since I did not want my spool moving to freely, I decided to try them out. If they didn't work as planned, I'd open them up, clean them out and re-lube all of them.fornother purposes. Luckily for me they fit the bill exactly for what I needed. They move the spool enough that I don't worry about them free spinning and causing the filament to go awry. I'll update the review about the long term performance but for now these are great for the price point and I have a few more spool holders to print. So for what I have them for I rated them as such.

Great for Fidget Spinners
My husband is a teacher at the middle school and has access to a 3-D printer. He has a lot of students who have fidgeting problems so we decided to try to make those fidget spinners, a class set to share with each period. These bearings were perfect for the designs we found online for free for the spinners. They fit very snuggly, you do have to press them into the holes tightly which is good because they need to be able to stay in place and not be popped out easily. They also need to be spun a few times to be able to get them to spin properly. I suspect this has to do with how they have to be shipped. We have since added a cap to the centerpiece in order to make it easier to spin. Overall, these spin very well and are the perfect bearings and at the right cost for the fidget spinners on a teaching salary.
