Perfect Skate!
Very good skate! My daughter is 8years old and 50 pound. Her coach recommended this skate for her because of her weight not her level! Even it recommends for basic level but my daughter able to do her doubles and her combo spin with this skate!

Comfortable and good quality.
These shoes are really good quality. I put a special insole because my feet need it, the insole fit very nicely and it was comfortable to skate. I do recommend it.

Best value no break in time or pain- size DOWN!!
These were the first skates I bought when I returned to figure skating as an adult. Unfortunately, I bought a size 270 as I wear a street shoe size 9. Even the Risport website says to add 10mm to your foot size, which mine is 258mm, but the next size down, 265, is even too big. I now wear a size 260 Risport Prime and 265 Risport Turchese for teaching. I love Risport. So measure your or your child’s feet in mm and then round up to the next size. Ex: if feet measure 241, buy size 245.Another important thing to know; these are not like Jackson’s or Riedell. I have them laced INCORRECTLY in these pics, but I will add a picture of the correct lacing. It MATTERS. You want to lace them like Edeas, from the outside IN, not inside out. From the bottom, you put each end of the lace into the first set of eyes from above, going down, so there is a straight line going across, then criss cross the laces, and put the opposite side into each eyelet from above, and continue, making sure to keep the same side lace over the other side every time. Do not mix them up or twist the laces. Then, when you tie your skates, you tie them just enough so they’re snug over the instep, and then tightest where the foot meets the ankle, before the hooks begin, and just snug enough around the hooks. You want your heal locked in place, and you want to be able to bend your knees and ankles. You get all your flex from the tongue and laces in risports like Edeas. And you must change your laces after about 20 hours on the ice. For me, that’s monthly. If you don’t, you will find yourself having to retie your skates several times during a session, tighter each time, and then, when you bend, you will “take your boot with you” and crease it at the ankle, severely shortening the boots lifespan, and defeating the whole purpose of the design. This is an incredible value for a pair of modern, Italian skating boots and MK blade and I wish they hadn’t discontinued the set but I think they have. So get them while you can. And if you’re worried about the low stiffness rating, they aren’t soft at all. They are stiffer than a Jackson mystique and much stiffer even than my Risport Turchesse boots, also rated 35. I’m an adult and I think I could jump through Axel in these. A smaller child could get through double sal/toe but perhaps would need an upgraded blade. But they are plenty stiff with no break in as long as you size and lace them correctly. Add a superfeet Carbon Hockey Pro insole and a pair of soakers to your cart and you will be all set!

We love them
I'm not going to lie, we did not purchase these on Amazon, but my daughter has been using the same skates for the last year. They were sold to us at the rink where she takes lessons. She is only 6 years old and is now in Basic 5. These skates are very well made and very stiff and very padded at the top. No more flimsy leather ones like I had in the 1980's! She has never complained of pain ever - even when they were new. She has an extremely wide foot so I was concerned at first but we just bought skates that were a bit too long for her and she has been fine. We've gotten lucky because her feet have gotten longer but not wider so we got over a year in one pair. I did buy a pair of Jackson Mystique's in the next size up for her but they are not quite as stiff/padded as these ones are. Hope this helps some people, I didn't see any reviews so figured I'd add one :)

Comfortable from day 1 for my then 8 year old
I also did not buy these here for my 8 year old who was soon to begin her axel. She did get the boots molded to her feet and a different blade. From day one she had no complaints about this boot. Comfortable and supportive from the get go and for over a year as she has progressed to nailing her axel. We now just need to get fitted for a different size. Highly recommended!
