Practical fresh approach to reclaiming a fit physique
Wow, what can I say. This book motivated me to get back to the shape I was in 25 years ago. Doug Bennett's emphasis on stressing a healthy diet with intense yet flexible workouts was just what I needed to finally shed the excess stubborn weight that I just couldn't lose before while regaining my strength and stamina. I have spent the better part of 35 years in and out of gyms, and working out on my own but as I aged and my metabolism changed I slowly accumulated an excess 35 pounds and even though I continued to exercise the weight was getting harder to control. Most traditional diets were hard to stick with but with the challenging training recommendations and food recommendations in this book, I was finally able to shed the weight and turn back the clock. My wife (and her friends) even referenced the film Benjamin Button because I now look years younger. Doug's unique no-nonsense approach keeps you motivated and challenged. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone committed to getting healthy and fit and it is well worth the investment.

This was exactly what I was looking for!!!
Thank you Doug! :)After getting some extra weight I needed some motivation and a clear guide that will help me get back in shape! FAST! :)I didn't have the time to be regular at the local gym... I needed something useful I can rely on to create workout plans on my convenience. I found Buff Body Blueprint just perfect for that! I find it motivating and very helpful! Diet plans and motivation statements are just perfect fit for me and my metabolism! And workout programs? Well it's clear Doug knows how to train; how to train hard! Sometimes it seems as Doug is standing above your shoulder when you read this blueprint. And he did pushed me to train and to work over those first days cramps and sweats...For two weeks into the program I am at the slow beginning of the whole blueprint and I already see major improvements to my health, stamina and strength! Can't wait to move to next levels!!I do recommend this book is you want to get in shape or buff your body fast!!Thank you Doug very much as you helped yet another one to get back in shape, push and work more! ;)

This works
Mr. Bennet offers straight talk and real life experience like no other fitness instructor I have read and convinces you from the outset that you can do it ! The book offers easy to follow nutrition guidelines, and actually explains (even showing pictures) all of the exercises. It is, as it's title claims, a man's blue print for a strong, healthy body. Simply follow the authors directions. It has changed my outlook on how to look and feel good.

Perfect for vegetarians who want to lean down and build muscle
This book was recommended to me by my buddy at the gym. As a vegetarian, its really hard to find good diet info for working out. This book makes it really easy. The author is obviously very well researched on both workout and nutrition info.The workouts are great. Already I have learned a new shoulder workout that killed me. I am extremely grateful to my friend who showed me the book.

Great read. Perfect for any guy.
Doug's book is extremely helpful and very strait forward. The diet plans are explained in great detail and are much easier to follow then other diets I have tried in the past. These recipes did not take away from my enjoyment of eating as they were very tasty and my focus on nutrition maximized my results in the gym. The workout plans are also very strait forward and intense. I thoroughly enjoy going through his programs because they up the tempo of my workouts and make my time at the gym fly by. Doug has laid out several different work out plans to fit the needs of each individual. I highly suggest reading this book if you are looking for guidance in the gym and in dieting. Doug is very humorous and made me want to get my fitness life on track ASAP.

Straight coffee no cream..
This is one of the best books I've read so far this year and I read a lot of books. The author sugar coats nothing and keeps everything simple from nutrition to exercise. I recommend this book to anybody who is looking for a no dummy approach to excercise and dieting.

Now you're talking....
This book grabs you from jump. It's as if you are having a coversation with this trainer not just reading words on a page. My wife bought this for me and after a week and a half I have more energy, and have begun to see a change in the way my clothes fit. The diets are easy to follow and you're actually eating real food even when you're eating out. This guy isn't foolling around, the workouts are tough but I can't wait to see the results.

Solid, Practical Advice
The book was an interesting and entertaining read. The advice was practical and most importantly I was able to incorporate many of the recipes and advice into my current routines without having to make major adjustments. I feel that I had decent knowledge of the fundamentals of lifting, cardio, and diet but the book had awesome insight particularly around things I should consider cutting out of my meals and emphasizing in my workouts. I would recommend this book for any professional that's looking to maximize workout time, improve eating habits, and get bottom line results on a tight schedule.
