It skips over the water really well and can be speedy. However, if you get the remote the least bit wet (hard not to do when you have a 7 year old grandson) it kinks out. We got it going again but beware. I gave it one star because it didn't last more than 2 days. not worth it

Very very poor quality. Noticed there is no on/off switch and, put the batteries in....and nothing, this thing is junk.

This boat is a piece of junk. No on/off switch. Wouldn’t even run even when placed in water as recommended. Never did get it to run at all.
