I just moved with my husband to a new apartment building in a different area & we have only been in this building almost 2 months when my neighbor who is a man (stranger) that lives right across the hall from me & my husband have follow me (when I was alone without my husband) at least 4 different occasions & I did not even know that he was right behind me," I did not hear him at all" My neighbor is over 6 feet tall & over 3 hundred plus pounds. I am very scared about my safety, & I now look behind me & I turn my head to look back as well while I walking now.I heard someone shaking my front door knob yesterday 10/31/2019 after my husband left the house, So I called my husband on his cellphone & he told me that this man came right outside behind him. I think this man thought it was me because I left early the day before & I saw this man was outside in his car & he saw me his car is 3 cars away from my car which is very scary as well. My husband & myself are now doing the buddy system, he calls me before he comes home & he does walk with me in & out of this building & will escort me to my car now & meet me at my car to escort me in the building in the meantime I have found a placed for self defense classes that I think everyone should learn how to protect herself or himself. I thank god that I made my husband aware of this situation and I will be making the police aware of it also. I am already thinking about breaking this lease here but we do not have another place to go right now, Anyway I do think this is a great safety item to have but I do not think it should be placed on a key chain & I will tell everyone why? Most people carry at least 4 to 6 keys not to mention did different key rings as well & most people do not walk around with their keys in their hand. I put this around my neck on a break away ID badge holder or you can even use a strong thick shoe lace like the "key latch kid" anyway I feel a lot better having it with me & I will be ordering more for all family members & friends & I keep this on me at all times. Thank you again maybe I can sleep now I have Insomnia from this situation. I have one attached to all of my purses and in my car. It is very easy to use and VERY loud. I have bought them several times and gave them away. Just purchased another 3 pack for a white elephant gift. There will be several collage young ladies there and hopefully one will get them and share. A very good purchase.

I would have given 5 stars but 2 out of 3 of mine were dead or nearly dead. Other than that nice product for the price.

Tested one alarm at home and it worked great. Loud sound! One of the three in the pack did not work at all. The pin fell out one day and no sound came out. Didn't want to throw it in the trash activated so started to smash it with a rock. Halfway through the alarm went off. Third alarm we tested and worked fine. Make sure you test all of them before using.

These alarms are the perfect size, and the activating mechanism secure (not easy to activate by accident, yet easy to when the need arises).I actually drove way out of town to try it, before gifting it to Mt son's girlfriend, and it is LOUD!! I notice it is 10 decibels higher than most of the alarms of this type.I feel good using it, and letting her rely on it. She lives in a big city, and I'm sure this will provide her with a better sense of security than a product such as pepper spray, and that she will be more likely to actually use it.

My wife bought these for scaring away bear....at first I laughed and then I just realized she was smarter than I am. They sell little jingle bells to tie on your backpack to make noise to scare away a bear...I have read countless articles they work too. These things are loud as hell. No doubt they will scare away a wild animal. I will still keep my bear spray on my hip anytime I'm in bear country, but this is a great first resort if you have the time. I'd rather not spray a bear in the face with mace unless I have to. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but if I encounter a curious bear and it works I will report back!
