Insta-love
I have to admit I read 60% of this book and then skipped to the ending. The main character has all eight elements of magic, enter 4 quadruplets who control two elements each (also I don't even have kids but thinking of birthing 4 at once?!?!? Ouch). The quadruplets fell in love instantly, there was no earning her love or even learning more about her before declaring their intentions. They are also identical and I love when a main character can tell them apart .... but not within 30 seconds of meeting which is exactly what happened here. Everything felt easy. Even the conflict never felt dire or even important. I just didn't care.Oh and one more thing she's at an academy and we never learn about the classes or even the other students, unless it's some extremely slutty girl making some comment to Jade but then she, of course, cuts them down with a few well placed words. We don't know anything about her classmates, even the boys are new students and it's like everyone in the background is blurry but the 5 of them, 3 teachers (one of which is Jade's adoptive father), 1 nerdy classmate named Calvin and the bad guy. That's it! It just felt so constrictive in its narrowness. So yeah, didn't care for it. I'm not hard to please but this was just meh.

3 stars only ...
I loved the story, the cover is awesome. For the story and the cover I would give 5 stars, but......Because I did not like the sex in this book, I took 2 stars off.The sex could have been less vulgair and porn-like. I don't think this book needs that.

Young lady magic trafficking, anyone?
I think this is my favorite female character from this author so far. Now I know this is a fairly new for this pen name, but it is no secret that this author has another pen name with many books already. I’ve read probably 50 of them, and I like Jade the best for sure. I especially liked her at the beginning because she is so sassy and ridiculous, and then she gets even better about halfway through the book when she grows into a strong, and ridiculously intelligent woman, kind of all at once.I think I like her because she’s so tough at the beginning, and this book even touches on issues like darkness and sex trafficking, but instead of sex trafficking, it’s more like magic trafficking! Pretty cool concept.

Keeps getting better
I absolutely love love love Jade's personality. She was dealt a rough hand and it made her a snarky, take no bs kind of woman. I adore that!! Shes not a simpering mess and she has no issue going head to head with any of the Trouble Four. The world is easily understood and the plot is easy to follow, yet not so easy you lose interest either. Theres a great balance between action, emotion and romance. The characters are well done. Overall the storyline has a great feel to it and I can't wait to see what happens in book 2.

I would recommend for a good read.
I really enjoyed this book. I gave it four stars because some of the monologuing by the characters get a little annoying.I saw some some people didn't like the sex scenes. However, I thought they were very well written, and steamy, whoever buys a reverse harem book and doesn't expect to read about some good sex is in for a shock. Some also didn't like the instant connection between her and the guys, but I loved the instant flirtatious relationship she had with them. Also, hold on until book two.Another thing I saw that someone didn't like was that there wasn't enough about the other students that go to the academy with her. I think the whole point is because she's never been a people person. The book elaborates on that quite a bit in the beginning. Why would she all of a sudden reach out or get to know any of her peers. It makes sense the only others we read about are bullies who reach out to her, which btw she also tries to avoid. So that is my review, I really didn't see the issues that everyone else did. It was a good read and I enjoyed the different character developments. The monologues were the only thing that got me, sometimes short and sweet is better.

Entertaining and Hot!
This book is very entertaining and hot, hots, hot! This book is definitely not YA , I would recommend 18 and up. This has steamy scenes galore and i love it. Not to worry there is plenty of story happening. The world building and characters are amazing with a good dose of mystery. This book will not leave you wanting in any way except for wanting the next book like how because that ending omg!

Funny and irreverent!
I absolutely ADORE this book!!! Jade is hilarious and her approach to dealing with her past and the world is awesome. I definitely saw myself in this character. I loved the easy acceptance the Trouble 4 give Jade and her “crazy”. Overall the book was well written, hilarious, and had a good plot. I can’t wait to see what chaos and rule breaking occurs in book 2.

umm i duno 2 or 3 stars
I dont know how i feel about this is book.. the beginning i enjoyed... i feel like books nowadays suck me in with a good intro/ preview of the book but doesn't really continue in the same flavour.. i thought it would have more of a story line than just a quick insta-love romance.. no suspense or worry who was the bad or good guy.. no bullying or threatening by the main 4 guys.. i dont know it just felt a bit flat... i liked how the MC was unique and had quirks and a bit of dark humour.. But i felt like the blurb was written better than the book the "the boys are desperate to make me submit to their trickery. They’re stupid to think I’ll play by anyone's rules but my own. I can handle whatever threats, traps, bullying, and schemes are thrown my way, because I'm not here to be a good student. I'm here to keep my secret safe from those who will do everything to see me perish." of the blurb i felt didnt even happen... there was no bullying or any real depth to the book.. like it didnt feel too deep, didnt tug at the heart strings or feel too happy or sad or angry, i just felt okay, whatever while reading the book. Overall not a fan and wont read again or purchase the next one.. which is sad when i pay for something that i wont use/read again.
