No Software
My advise on this one, stay away! Dymo have no software for this on their website so you have no simple way to get the weight information from the scanner to your computer, you'll be better off getting a set of kitchen scales for a tenner.I even contacted Dymo customer support and they emailed me a 9 year old bit of software (endicia instarate) which there's no way I'm installing as it's likely riddled with security vulnerabilities after 9 years of no updates. If you go to Endicia's website they even say that as of 2016 it's no longer supported so I'm not sure why Dymo are still distributing it via email. It seems to weigh items well enough, but even the product pages are confusing. Amazon's listing says 4.5kg max, Dymo's listing for the M10 shows 10KG and I can confirm that it does go above 5KG. But the display is rather dim at an angle which is why I wanted one with USB HID support so I'd be better off going with the kitchen scales.

Not as described, no software and screen issues = returned
This device does not communicate with Widows or OS X.Despite clear indication on the manufacturers website, the Amazon listing and the product packaging, i (and other reviewers by the looks of it) could not get this to talk to the computer. Mostly due to a lack of software. The software is not where that say it is on their website, making it more like softWhere? - and when i did finally track down something called WIN-ScalesSoftware.exe from the Dymo website... it did absolutely nothing. I am an IT professional, this is not a case of user error. On the scales themselves - they seem perfectly robust on quick inspection, hold function works well, quick to turn on, all good... until you try to weigh anything that is just over a kg, or any 1kg increment and the screen is missing a zero from the display! So an item that weighs 1.051kg is displayed as 1. 51kg - just a blank space where the zero should be. Looks like 1.51kg to me. How many people will that catch out!tl;dr- No software- Dodgy screen- Avoid

Brilliant if you're after some digital scales for eBay and online sales.
Pros:There are excellent for small time online sales usage. What I bought them for. There just the right size not too big, not too small and work for items larger than itself. With a 10 KG limit they get the job done in almost every case 99.9% of cases if your a moderate online seller. It also features very useful "hold" and "tare" functions. Hold displays the measured weight once pressed for ten seconds. Tare resets to 0.0 say if you're on an uneven surface or turned it on whilst your hand was on the top.Cons:The mac software at least is extremely basic and does not always work. This takes the fun out hooking it up to USB other than using that to power it.

Ideal for calculating the cost of postage.
I bought this item to use when selling items online. Previously when calculating the cost of posting an item it was hit and miss, with most times under calculating the cost and not charging the correct amount. With this item I can now advertise the exact cost of postage without over or under charging. Well worth the money

Does the job but wish it was bigger
This scales is simple and easy to use. It does the job. But I just wish it was bigger as if I put a larger size package on it (even just something about 10 inch square), it's difficult to read the weight on the screen as the package overhangs. If I push the package further back in order to be able to see the screen, this affects the weight reading. But I guess I should've read the dimensions of the product better before I purchased it.
