Forget the Benchmade 940, Buy One of These
Near-Benchmade build-quality and performance for a fraction of the price. The blade is beautifully made and satin-finished. Grind is quite even and very sharp. Bearings make the action completely smooth and drop-shut. Liners are heavily skeletonized to reduce weight, a nice touch. Deep carry clip is sturdy and attractive. The G10 scales are chamfered and have a refined, grippy texture, almost reminiscent of carbon fiber, quite attractive. Another Ganzo Firebird that punches above its weight.Instead of buying a grossly overpriced Benchmade 940, save your money and buy one of these.

My prefered EDC
This is my prefered everyday carry, absolutely love it. Fits very nice in your palm. With the price point I'm not afraid to use it. Takes an edge very easily. Thin and light weight you forget its there. Axis lock could be smoother and handle would be better with a rubber coating for grip therefore I give it 4 stars. Would definitely by it again.

Good blade, bad cross bar lock.
Good blade geometry and grind, nice design, but as much as I would like to use this knife the hard omega springs, make it painful to deploy. I've already torn up my fingers and the springs simply won't break in. Its a faulty execution on the cross bar lock springs plain and simple. Can't recommend this product. Hope the manufacturer corrects this.

Quality is there, but design is just ok.
Surprising quality. Ball bearing washers and after cleaning and oiling it is smooth beyond its price! CF quality is just average though. It is CF throughout; not a veneer. Steel seems ok for 440. Recessed clip mount is nice to reduce pocket drag. Too many hotspots both on the angular scales and pocket clip make for a subpar grip feel.
