Beautiful product, exactly as pictured. The blue fade to white is more delineated on the outside and more of a fade on the inside, but occurs at about the same place in both. The glazing is well done with no bumps or flaws. It feels smooth and comfortable in my hands.It's appropriate dimensions for a matcha bowl, about 4.5 in diameter and 3.25 inches tall. Your chaisen will have plenty of whisking room. The subtly scalloped edge gives your lips a good sipping place. The thick sides warm nicely but don't get too hot to comfortably hold.I looked at far more expensive options before setting on this. I may or may not ever get a fancier bowl as this one meets my needs perfectly, is inexpensive, and looks very nice.

Love the craftsmanship, goes very well with my matcha kit. Whisks smoothly, and retains just enough heat to keep with traditional matcha making.

This bowl is bigger and more beautiful than I expected it to be. Mine doesn't have as much blue on it as the picture shows but it is still a beautiful piece and makes drinking matcha feel more special than drinking from a regular mug.

Even though it is called a Japanese Traditional Matcha Bowl, it is not. It is a Chinese-made bowl made to look like it was made in Japan. I am sending this back immediately.
