Hope for better results.
Don't really deliver water reliably. They might work better if you tinkered with them, but in my tries sometimes they worked and sometimes not.

Simple, yet genius design.
These inexpensive little gadgets are lifesavers if you travel or need to leave plants unattended for long periods of time. I collected a few beverage bottles (small lids, like on water bottles and single-serve soft drink bottles, work far better than wider lids) and used a drill to pierce holes in the lids. Slid the water nozzles through, filled the bottles with water, screwed the lids on, and that's it.On a 9" diameter potted plant, a 20 oz bottle lasts for about 4 - 5 days if the plant is already moist when the device is inserted. Liter bottles would last even longer. Alternatively, even if you aren't traveling, I keep a couple in certain plants that thrive with self-watering, and I don't have to worry about over/under watering. It's really, really nice to come home from vacation to living plants! For the price, these are a great buy.

water'nozzle
Not so great. water from bottle was in the pot in one day. Maybe the opening is to big on the nozzle?

Easy and Effective!
These small nozzles are very easy to use and the instrictions are very easy to follow. I use them for my potted plants. Since the original cap of soda bottle is used as a connection to the bottle, they can fit any empty bottle. No leaking at all as long as the cap is screwed tight. These are exactly what I was looking for. They work great!

Didn't work
Used this when I was out of town for a weekend. My tomato plant would only have been about 12 hours overdue for watering when I got back, so all this had to do was release some kind of water. Nope. Came home and tomato plant was completely drooped over. With some water it now appears to be on life support so hopefully it will survive.Something that wasn't clear to me until I got it was that you have to drill a hole in the cap and then push the thing through. I followed all the directions, but still no luck in it putting any significant amount of water into the soil.

Self-watering made easy!
The AutoWater nozzles worked perfectly. The hardest part was drilling the bottle caps to fit correctly. We used them when we went away for a long weekend and used ten ounce bottles. If you are going away for longer I would use 2-liter bottles.

Useless
First of all, making a hole in a bottle cap is a pain. But I managed with the help of a drill and a knife. Just to find out that the base of the nozzle takes so much space inside the cap that it's impossible to screw it back onto the bottle! This should come with their own cap replacements with holes pre-drilled and the height of the cap extended, maybe then it would work. Can't comment on the quality of watering, never managed to actually assemble the system

Clever idea
Clever idea for using empty soda bottles. Takes care of watering in drought conditions, when we are out of town, or the extra drink new plants need.
