This stuff is incredibly soft, like play doh soft, so it will need a harder oil or wax if the texture is too pliant for your needs. It was fine for making deodorant bars. The Shea butter does have an aroma to it, it's unrefined!, so a little fragrance will cover that up if it bothers you.The quality, quantity, and price were great. Will buy again

Very soft and skin nourishing. This is the creamiest shea butter i've ever experienced. ( I've bought from several sources.) This particular batch is the first shea butter that has smelled strongly. So beware - most shea butter smells slightly nutty, but once in a while, a batch rather stinks, even though it's not rancid. Just different growing situations for the nuts, or something. (Rancid shea butter will be blotchy / uneven in color, and smell more than nutty - apparently.) Save an old snap-lid food container or purchase one to store the butter. I apply after every shower - everywhere. Inexpensive, and great for every inch of skin. I'm caucasian / Euro background, and apply to hair before bed. If you try it, you may need to wash your hair with dish soap a few times to really get the hair clean. (A vinegar rinse afterwards is great, too, if you use shea on hair.)

I bought this because I think it's ridiculous that packaging costs so much. I got it for my kid's nose, she scraped it up, her skin scars easily and the scars get dark from melanin. I needed something that would help heal the skin (after a few days with bandaids and antibiotic ointment) and keep it supple, but give some sun protection.This works.I started rubbing it on my feet and hands and elbows. And then I rubbed it all over my other kid's face because it's chapped from playing outside.And I'm a believer.This stuff is great, especially for kids who complain about everything that gets near their eyes or that smells funky or perfume-y.Unscented, straight out of the bag, has a gentle buttery/nutty scent. Is grainy until you rub it in. A pinch will do ya. FANTASTIC for chapped lips, cheeks, and scars on the top of the nose when your kid takes a header.

Very nice shea butter and incredibly fast shipping. I have purchased before elsewhere so knew what to expect and I would order again from this seller. The shea butter was clean and smooth (at least as smooth as I would expect from a nice, unrefined butter) Wonderful fresh scent too! I would have given 5 stars, as the butter itself deserves it, and I did get the promised 1lb, but the packaging is a bit rough. It did come in a bag, as expected, but it was very flimsy and was actually torn a bit in one spot. Thankfully, it is cold here so it did not cause a leakage problem, just a bit of a mess to put it into something else for storage. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of the shea butter I received and would definitely order again!

I initially purchased this a few years ago for use on my skin and hair. It's very moisturizing and the value is great for how much you get. The shea butter is unscented which is fine. One block will last a LONG time. I break off what I need and apply it to my neck, shoulders, elbows, hair, face...just about everywhere! I keep it in my closet and it holds up perfectly. I no longer feel comfortable applying most OTC lotion's to my body due to chemicals and other weird ingredients that are in them, so to have this natural shea butter on hand is good. 10/6/22

I've ordered several times. It's always soft. Not a hard Shea smell.

Good stuff, have been out of my old brand that was great, they no longer carry . This one replaced that, duplicate. Only thing different is this comes in a plastic bag, and a little more cost but it is real shea :)

I’m using Vaseline and it. Compared both result. The Vaseline is better. My skin still dry after using it and the skin has white color.
