I bought this to slice My tofu pack very thinly without having to use a knife. Unfortunately the aperture, opening hole, is too wide. Otherwise, this seems to work just fine, just not for finely sliced items.

This peeler is great. It's comfortable to hold, easy to clean, and does the job. The peeler helps us make sauerkraut effortlessly! (I purchased two this year)

I have a number of handy veggie peelers that work very well but their small size makes it impossible to deal with large vegetables like butternut squash. I read about a tip that called for microwaving the squash for 3 minutes (poke holes first), then peeling. When I saw this huge peeler on Amazon, I finally put two + two together. Amazing! I also love it for shredding cabbage. Lots of angel hair type shreds in the blink of an eye! Definitely keeping this very useful tool in primary drawer space.

I've had this a year now. It is getting dull....not as sharp as first. Wonder if there is a large peeler that will stay sharper?

I purchased this to deal with squash, but I find myself using it to peel everything. Not only is it very effective for big veggies but it's just a great peeler all around. I'm going to order another one soon.
