Good Omens [Limited Edition Steelbook] [Blu-ray] [2019] [Region Free]

I love it and nothing to dislike.

Being based on the book by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, you know that this is going to be a fun watch. Ashamedly, although I am a Gaiman fan, I haven't yet read the novel. Now that I have watched season 1, it has made me eager to see the next one, but also to go to the original book and read it.The whole of the cast are fantastic. Sheen and Tennant do remarkable jobs bringing the strange friendship that their characters have, to life. This was such a great series; great fun, something that you can escape into.

A TV adaptation that actually does the book justice? How is it so!?David Tennant and Micheal Sheen are perfectly cast as the lead roles. The plot has a couple of bits missing but by and large it's all there but most importantly it retains the 'feel' of the book.My only complaint? Pollution. He is a he, not a she. War, fair enough, ol' Red is a woman in the book (she makes a man's blood run hot and can make men behave in the most terrible of ways) but Pollution is a male character.I have nothing against casting strong female roles but create new ones, don't shoehorn them into places they don't belong. This 'progressive' left leaning agenda that is so pervasive nowadays really annoys me. It's so transparent, you can almost see the boardroom meetings.Dr Who I can forgive, its believable that an alien that transforms upon death could in fact come back in a female form... I suppose. Pollution however is... well, to quote from the book:“His skin was pale, his hair a faded blond, his eyes light gray. He was somewhere in his twenties at a casual glance, and a casual glance was all anyone ever gave him.… He was almost entirely unmemorable”or“Farther down the riverbank sat a young man dressed all in white.… His hair was white, his skin chalk pale.… He looked like Victorian Romantic poets looked just before the consumption and drug abuse really started to cut it”Anyway, that aside, a truly fantastic adaption of a truly wonderful book. In fact, it was so good I even enjoyed Jack Whitehall in it!

Good omens is one of the most phenomenal pieces of television I have ever gotten the pleasure to witness. The entire cast and crew are so incredibly talented. Every set is wonderfully crafted, every costume is so fitting and wonderful, every performer is acting with so much intent and emotion, the direction is absolutely brilliant, the cinematography is gorgeous, the writing is well paced and extraordinary. There is not a single element of this show that falls short of fantastic. It’s an out of this world master piece, and everyone should be blessed with a chance to watch it.

Very well written show, dramatic, funny, excellent casting and storytelling, and very funny! Would highly recommend!!

An odd couple indeed. Angel Aziraphale and Demon Crowley met in the Garden of Eden over six thousand years ago, their paths crossing ever since. Now they have learned the Anti-Christ is about to be born, Armaggedon scheduled for when he is eleven. Not a chance! In their different ways they are thoroughly enjoying the lives carved out for themselves. Time to join forces. Target: that Child!Wickedly mischievous minds have caused "Good Omens" to be. Welcome here six hour long episodes full of inventive wit and complete disrespect, not to mention spectacular special effects. Neither Heaven nor Hell emerges with credit (not that Hell was expected to do so). Michael Sheen and David Tennant excel as Angel and Demon, both clearly thoroughly enjoying themselves. Weirdos abound. (Check out the guest stars, some on screen very fleetingly.) Prepare for an hilarious romp right from the initial baby mix-up to The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse on their motorbikes.(The impressive box set contains many bonuses: exclusive art cards, commentaries on each episode, a wealth of extra features. The one on Aziraphale's Book Shop is especially interesting [late author Terry Pratchett's scarf hanging on a stand]. Also enjoyed: the Queen Music & VFX compilations.)All is so out of the ordinary, it may take a while to adjust to the wavelength. Some never will. Others will relish something most decidedly so different.

Imperdible si eres fan, es una serie que puedo ver en maratón una y otra vez. El producto llegó antes de tiempo lo cual fue genial, no tuve problemas para reproducirlo en mi dvd, se ve muy bien la imagen en mi televisor hd. Por favor Amazon, necesitamos la 3era temporada!!! The MOST important thing for me to know when I search a video to add to my library is: For which region is it intended? This information didn't seem apparent to me when I opted to purchase this DVD but the packaging did confirm it was Region 1. YES!!!If you have any appreciation for the way Neil Gaiman's mind works, the fantastical worlds/characters he creates and describes - in this case with Terry Pratchett -, then this trip to Armageddon will will prove very satisfying. Check your religious beliefs at the door, though, it's all meant in jest.Season two was another joy ride, albeit with a heartbreaking end, and I look forward to the day I can set it beside this very entertaining tale.Check both seasons out on Prime and support a third season!

Wundervolle, charmante Serie. Habe sie zuerst auf Prime gesehen und mir danach die Blu-ray gekauft, weil ich sehr gerne die physische Version, von den Medien die mir gefallen, zuhause habe. Leider leider hat sich Amazon bis jetzt nicht dazu entschieden die zweite Staffel ebenfalls auf optischen Datenträger zu veröffentlichen.

Hubo un problema con el envío, que llevo tarde. Pero fueron muy amables y lo resolvieron.Un DVD muy completo y una serie muy recomendable si eres fan de Terry Pratchett o Neil Gaiman.
