This Radiator is Rad
Excuse the bad joke above; seriously though, this radiator is nice. I bought this radiator because my 08 WRX was leaking (turns out the plastic drain port on the stock radiator was on the verge of crapping out.) The Mishimoto is an upgrade and happened cost less than an OEM radiator, a big plus. This is also full aluminum which means that unlike the stock radiator, which is plastic and aluminum, everything heats and cools at relatively the same time meaning it's less likely to leak if properly installed. This radiator is thicker and will require some finagling in order to put it in, but its really not a very difficult job. I think it would fit without cutting original hoses, but I ended up cutting about an 1/8 to 1/4 in off some hoses in order to make everything fit nicer. Overall, I'm very pleased with Mishimoto.

Reliable and cool
For a 2008 WRX. Had on car for 2 years now. No issues at all. Temperature is solid. Also shines up the engine bay with the shinny aluminum. Easy install and direct fit. (Side note, I had to cut an inch on all hoses connecting to the radiator since its so much thicker but had no other clearance issues)

Leaks, Poorly Constructed, Cheap Materials - No Support.
I was in a rush to replace the stock 2010 Impreza WRX Radiator due to the upper hose inlet failing. Well pretty much since install (2021) this Mishimoto Radiator has been nothing but troubles and I haven't replaced it yet but the drain plug just leaks and leaks and leaks, drip by drip.. Searched some online forums and it seems to be a manufacturing defect with certain batches which I presume mine is a part of. I wasn't rich in 2021 and still not but now making a good living so I've went back to tend and care for my WRX. Resolving issues one by one, now I'm finding myself in a rut due to this poorly constructed radiator that cost's way more than it's worth in my opinion and I'm a machinist. Everything from the welds to the core and threads plus the ports are terribly machined and fabricated. At the time I fell for the "Lifetime Warranty" aspect, which I find hard to even succeed in establishing any remedy with this company. I purchased hoses as well which have recently failed also.. Steer clear and fork the dough for a more reliable and well made product versus this garbage. Never again Mishimoto..

Huge Improvement
I have a 2005 Subaru Outback XT. Manual tranny. My radiator decided to die, and I found myself needing a radiator. Cheaper than the dealer, and no plastic to worry about. No fitment issues. This thing is much thicker than stock. You will have to trim 1/2" to 3/4" off of your engine side top radiator hose. This prevents your fan blades from hitting the hose. Shipping was extremely fast, well protected. Just put over 1000 miles on it, no issues. Highly recommended.

Good customer service, proper hose fit is tricky
Coolant system leaked about a month after installation; called customer service to inquire about warranty replacement should it have been the radiator that failed. Spent about five seconds on hold before helpful service representative walked me though the warranty claim process which seems very straightforward. Fortunately the radiator itself was not directly at fault. Radiator is very nearly direct fit in the 2005 Legacy GT engine bay; it does require some modification to (in particular) the upper radiator hose. However, clearance on the upper hose is very close to the stock fan, and the leak was ultimately caused by the fan wearing a small hole into the upper hose even though it seemed clear when the system was cold. Going to attempt to reinstall with low-profile fan shroud kit which should help.

Easy install, performs way better and looks great!
Package shipped quick and the install was easy and straight forward. The radiator is solid quality, just make sure to burp it thoroughly. If you are swapping the upper or lower radiator hoses, you may need to trim them down a bit since this radiator is a bit wider than the oem one.

Don’t wait to upgrade
Had to replace the stock radiator after the fittings fell apart in my hand (140k miles). This radiator cooled my running temps during the summer by 10-15 degrees and has a much faster recovery time. The only difficulty in installation was that the fan mountings are about 1/8” off on a few bolts (don’t use a drill on the fan shroud, it will shatter, use a file). Otherwise, a great product that I would highly recommended over stock. I usually stay with OEM parts for everything, but this is so much better. Don’t wait, replace yours before it fails at an inconvenient time.

Leaks
Fits well and seems more efficient than the stock one on my 2010 Subaru Sti. The stock fans mount up fine and there is some trimming of the coolant lines necessary since this is thicker. However, it did not come with the magnetic drain plug mentioned in the description. I also replaced the coolant lines (w/ Gates) and both radiator caps (w/ Stant 20Psi) ones at the same time. Updated: After chasing a leak for 7 months now I've traced it to the radiator. Not happy. Hopefully the lifetime warranty works out
