How to Restore Your Chevy Truck: 1973-1987 Kindle Edition

This book can be useful to some, but it is not titled correctly. It simply covers some general topics common to fixing up older Chevrolet pickups.It is not a complete restoration guide. One example, if you have any transmission other than a Turbo 350 you are out of luck. Yes that was a common trans and is covered well in this book, but there are many other engine transmission combinations. There is little to no mention of manual transmissions.On the plus side, it covers some common issues with old trucks and the photographs are good. But if you want a restoration guide, look elsewhere.

As far as the book goes, it is great. I would have given the book 5 stars except Amazon Prime decided they wanted to cut corners, cost, or whatever, and ship the honeycomb I ordered in the same package as the book. Needless to say there was honey that seeped out all over my brand new book. Not cool Amazon. Not cool.

Covers all aspects of restoration, disassembly and assembly. Painting and prep. Detail to get you started on your personal build of your truck. Great model on preparing a budget for the process with contingencies.

not a step by step guide not a technical manual either. There are things in there that are helpful but the way its put together is bad. jumps around bit much. Completely skips alot

Very informative and great to have an organized approach to go at an upcoming project! I have read many articles in the past from Kevin and couldn’t be more impressed with this publication as well! Plus he has great insight from the biggest players and Kats in the scene today! With the explosion of the square body craze recently this could have come at a better time!

solid content but leaves a lot to be desired. Pictures are good and the written portions are nice. Just felt like a lot was missing.

Well written lots of helpful information and illustrations in color to restore your C10 with original parts. not meant as a restoration manual w/ aftermarket custom parts

i used this manual to guide me through the process of installing my side gas tank back on the truck, and it has more great information as well , thank you

The book is fine. It's what I ordered as expected from the seller. It's just that, the author of the book barely scratches the surface. Not enough detail and specifics on the squarebodies. Far too much content devoted to generic rust repair and bodywork. There were two (2) bits of new "ah hahh" info that helped me, but that's it. Kind of a useless book.

This is info you could google in 10 minutes. The general mechanical info is very generic.

Just reading it now very well put together and info is useful will be using it to fix up my 79 GMC
