It’s all in the aftercare
I wanted a pan I wouldn’t need to chuck into the land fill in two or so years so bought this one hoping for a quality product. I’m a few months in now and it’s been a wonderful addition to my kitchen! I’m very pleased with this pan excellent quality metal, heavy and beautiful. I’ve been following the cleaning instructions esp part about cleaning under hot water relatively soon after using and the pan remains flawless- I do add a drop of oil afterwards. I use it everyday and achieve excellent tasty results.Highly recommend

good pan
I scrubbed it with several pieces of sand papers while wetting it with water to avoid iron dust, and wiped it with several pieces of cloth that I don't wear any more for about 5-6times until smudge went away. And then I started seasoning. It is a good pan compared to other cast iron pans. solid and evenly distribute heat. design is good.

True professional gear
This is just like the professional gear that real chefs use and, unlike certain gear targeted towards amateurs, it is *not* pre-seasoned (e.g. Le Creuset), so beware that you will need to season it first before it attains a non-stick property.Seasoning:Use a paper towel or pastry brush to spread a thin layer of lightly melted lard or dripping (in preference to vegetable oil) over the inner surface. Bring the pan to a high temperature until the fat starts to smoke, then turn off the heat and leave the pan to cool naturally. Then use a paper towel to wipe away excess fat, and the same towel to wipe the outside of the pan too, thus spreading a thin layer of fat to protect the outside. This will burn off next time you use it.Use and maintenance:Thereafter, just use the pan as normal, allow to cool, clean lightly with a green pad and a small amount of detergent in hot water (note: HSE regulations *require* the use of detergents to clean kitchen equipment in commercial premises), rinse, dry, then repeat the above seasoning process, before allowing it to cool, then put it away. Either hang the pan up on a hook, or on a flat surface with paper towels between it and other surfaces (e.g. other pans), to protect it and stop other surfaces getting oily. For the first few uses certain soft foods will stick, so avoid using it to cook eggs etc. until it's been properly burned-in. Once it is, you should have a pan that will last you the rest of your life, with proper care and maintenance (don't scrub it or put it in the dishwasher, and keep it well oiled).Although it doesn't say so in the product description, All Skeppshult products carry a 25-year guarantee, so hold on to that receipt (not that you'll probably ever need it).

Good stuff but doesn't heat evenly
Its good stuff, comes seasoned (description says its unseasoned)handles are goodif you maintain seasoning it works very well - can cook omelette, pancakes without sticking !The only issue is that this one doesn't heat evenly, which makes the pancakes stick on one side or burn on one side.

fantastic pan
Seasoned properly, it's a great non stick pan. A bit on the heavy side, but you can cook anything in it and it doesn't stick, even omelettes. Would definitely recommend it.
