Perfect Color Match!!!! Tricks of the trade are needed....
Product actually exceeded expectations. Not having enough time to chalk everywhere before the final painting was completed, I needed something that would match the color perfectly so that additional touch up painting on a large project would not be needed. This product works!! Easy to use however I did learn several tricks over the course of time that could make or break your project. The product is a little difficult to work with after application compared to normal chalking but with a wet towel for wiping off any excess along with a bit of patience everything went great. Additionally I had no problem mixing/shaking either the paint or hardener in the tube. If you shake the mixtures vigorously for about 1 min each, you should be good to go. I let the hardener set for an hour before application and it worked great. It did take about 1 day to dry once applied.HINT1 - Before inserting the paint OR the hardener - you should gently hit the bottom of the chalk tube on a hard surface so that the intended air pocket is forced to the top of the tube, otherwise when you insert the paint or hardener into the tube there will be not enough air space and the paint or hardener will be forced out around the nozzle. You also need to firmly hold the paint/hardener nozzles into the tube to ensure the full volume of paint or hardener is inserted. This stuff is THICKER than you think and if you are not careful, there will not be enough air space at the top of the tube to accept the paint and hardener.HINT2 - Lesson Learned... It is especially important to do the actions in HINT1 before inserting the hardener. If the entire contents of the hardener is not inserted, the chalking will NOT HARDNED and will flake with cracks. I used about 14 tubes on my project. However there was 1 tube early one where I lost some hardener since there was not enough air space. I proceeded to continue the process and shook up the mixture. I was a bit skeptical about whether to use the tube or not so I decided to do a test on an area not easily seen. Thank GOODNESS since the chalking never hardened, cracked and peeled. I ended up throwing the rest of that tube away. My lesson was learned and I adopted the process of ensuring the air space was at the top!!Overall great product, but if you don't get the correct amount of paint or hardener into the tube, the final product will not meet expectations. I would highly recommend the use of this product!

Amazing color matching, texture is strange
The color matching is really pretty cool. I used my caulk on a charcoal area. When I first applied the caulk, I got worried because it went on more of a light gray. I tried to have faith and trust the process, and thankfully it dried dark, a perfect match for the paint. It does dry glossy, so that should be noted. The mixing went fine. I knocked the caulk down into the tube before I added the paint, and then again before I added the hardener. It should be noted that the hardener is as thin as water. I was expecting something thicker, so this took me by surprise and I almost spilled it. I’m assuming the entire thing would have been wasted if I spilled any of the hardener. The texture of the caulk is very thin. I went into it pumping the trigger on the caulking gun like usual and it all came out in a big puddle. I wasn’t expecting that. It saves my hand strength for sure, because the pumping is so gentle. However, it’s much harder to deal with after application because it’s so thin and goopy. It took some getting used to, and I didn’t get quite as neat of application as I usually do. I took off 1 star for this.

This stuff actually works!
The new quartz splashback on three sides of our bathroom vanity had a gap between it and the wall that varied from hairline to about 1/8". It wasn't a mess, but it wasn't good. To keep straight lines, we decided to fill it to match the wall color, a very strong, deep blue.Out contractor basically said "Good luck with that" and left it up to us. Hmmm....I found this stuff, figured that less than $20 was worth a gamble, and blow me down, it worked a treat.I'd doubted that it would work with such a strong color, but it did!Syringed the paint into the tube, screwed on the cap, shook it like crazy. Added the hardener, shook it like crazy for even longer. Waited for a good 30 mins. Carefully taped to be on the safe side, then ran the caulk round and wiped it smooth with a silicone caulk tool, and it was perfect.Just follow the instructions to the letter, and you won't go wrong.

Perfect for the kitchen!
I redid flooring in my kitchen and there are spots with no baseboards. Well I need to caulk the edge from the laminate flooring to the cabinet (that I painted) and I came across this. I couldn't find any gray caulk that was dark enough to match so I figured "what the heck". To my surprise it matched perfectly! It mixed up really easy with the paint that I still had, and was easy to apply. I am so excited that I have the perfect match. I followed directions exact and very very very pleased with the results. I will use this if I ever need to color match caulk again.

Messy
I used Sherman Williams interior matte latex paint. The viscosity made it difficult to inject into the caulk cylinder which became air bound and the paint "burped" out around the paint syringe nozzle.Once inside and shaken well, the caulk color was several shades lighter than the paint color even though the correct amount of paint was added. After the hardener was added and allowed to set, the caulk applied easily and set up like ordinary latex caulk.Overall, I'm happy with the finished product but I will have to order another tube and use a darker paint color to get a perfect match for the rest of the project.
