The Mukhtar Method - Arabic Music Theory I & II

Very easy to learn with

This is an Amazon published book printed on demand. It is well bound and printed on decent paper stock but should really have been printed closer to an A5 format than in its actual A4 format. As it is, it looks like the content has been stretched in an unsuccessful attempt to justify the price (I paid £15). As such I consider it not good value for money. This, in my opinion, is a disservice to the author because it gives an amateurish appearance to the product and yet the content, albeit thin, does look to be useful.

Part 1 is standard western notation. Part 2 is a long winded description of how Arabic music is made up of short traditional blocks. Also includes a few additional bits of Arabic notation.
