Cover says 2nd edition, inside says 1st edition
Book is advertised as 2nd edition on cover but inside states 1st edition. Based on the number of typos I believe it is a 1st edition. The number of typos and very basic nature of the text only got my through the first 15 pages before I could not read it further. I will be returning this book and do not recommend it.

Buyer Beware
Put yogurt in a bowl, top with a sliced banana and something crunchy, like granola. Enjoy! You just paid money for this.I can't be too harsh on the other recipes, but most are mundane and ubiquitous; the crazy is only beginning, however, for you now own a book of misspellings, nospaces betweenwords, and sentences padded full with empty blather. "Optional side salad", get used to that phrase. Nor was Sarah paying attention in several instances; for example, it says "Second edition" on the cover, and "First edition" on the title page. No references are given for statements, they read as if Sarah was walking through a dream; and if you can keep your rooibos tea from coming out your nose while reading that fasting after chemo may help heal you from cancer, I congratulate you. Hopefully, English is your native language, which may help you dissect the words crammed together; maybe not. I read "arrangeon" and first thought it was the guy from Middle Earth, Aragorn. Please skip this non-book, unless you enjoy writing smartypants commentary in the margins.

Oh my....
What did I just spend my money on? Please don't waste your time or money and just do a google search of fasting. You will come out so much further ahead. The info (or lack thereof) in this book was so generic and basic, it was painful. And that was all made worse by the horrible editing that left grammatical errors and words with nospacesbetween them EVERYWHERE! Also, most of the book is a cookbook with recipes such as Yogurt with Berries....which is literally yogurt with berries on top. Not kidding!I have NEVER written a bad book review because I love books and I feel like everyone has their own style, but I felt compelled to help others not waste the money I did on this one.

Not worth the money
I was interested in intermittent fasting and wanted to have a book to tell me how to do it. The only thing helpful about this book was the recipes. The information about fasting was pitiful! I found out more about how the diet plan works by reading articles on the internet than from this book. The 1st 28 pages encompassed the "hows and whys" of fasting. The font was extremely large, so technically there was approximately 10 pages of what I actually wanted to know. The remaining pages in the book (about 2/3 of the content) were devoted to the recipes. I know this book was geared to beginners, but this book was ridiculous! The author gave very generic information, but didn't actually tell a beginner they should expect by following intermittent fasting. As I said, I found out more information from googling articles on the internet than I did from this book.If you want to read this, download it on your Kindle (for free.) Do not spend any money on this if you really are interested in learning about intermittent fasting.

save your money
Less than 20 pages explaining the two methods: the 16:8 and 5:2 methods. Then a few recipes that are not all that appealing. Do yourself a favor and Google the two plans, decide if one is right for you, and eat what you know is healthy more often than things that aren't healthy during the "eating" time frame. The terrible editing also made it tough to focus on the little bit of content is contains. So many words havenospace between them, and there are also several grammatical errors. Distracting!

They need to republish this after some serious proofreading
I've only read a few pages in and so far the information is a little monotonous and repetitive, but good for people who know very little about nutrition. However...did anyone think to proofread this book before publishing it? The errors and lack of spacing make it very difficult to follow as they detract from and make me wonder how legitimate the information really is.

Typos everywhere, no sources for any/all of the very wild claims
Filled with a vast number of spelling, spacing, and punctuation issues and I didn't get past page 20 of this sparse book. The author makes a slew of wild claims none of which are sourced or point to any studies or papers, etc. I paid < $4 for this book but I still feel like I was ripped off.

Waste of Money
Please don't waste money on this book. It reads as though it were written by an 8th grader who gathered random information on Google. There's a whopping 29 pages of content, large print, double spaced, with big headings, the rest is recipes. The most used phrase is "research shows that..." followed by generalizations. There are run-on words as if no one proofread it. A total waste of time, and yes, I read all of it, in about 30 min or less!

Health above all
Although it's not the first time coming across this concept (intermittent fasting), I actually dived into the information highlighted in this book and it makes so much sense. I loved the fact the book covers the benefits of fasting whilst backing it up with medical facts / research as well and also, explaining the different fasting methods making it easier for the reader to select the one he/she resonates the most with.Recipe-wise, beware. Drooling alert! So much goodness, so many amazing yet quick and easy recipes to keep me full and provide all macros I need to stick to this plan. I loved the fact the book incorporates smoothies as well as I'm a big fan of these and also vegetarian recipes, so those worried they'll have to eat meat 3x a day, that's not the case. The meals are very well balanced to include fruits, plenty of veggies, good fats and animal proteins. Very happy with it!

Couldn't ask for more really - a great intro to intermittent fasting
If you're looking for a good book on intermittent fasting that is either an introduction to the concept or a new reference point in your ongoing journey of intermittent fasting then I must say that this book is a great addition to your library. it combines tasty meals with comprehensive ingredient lists with a reassuring scientific backing that gives me the confidence that these recipes have not just been cobbled together by someone who knows nothing about intermittent fasting. instead, they have been composed with a good level of knowledge on the subject. what more can you ask for than that? thanks guys for giving me some new content to keep me on my fasting journey. I really recommend it to you all, the health benefits are tangible to say the least. bye for now!

Seriously lacking in information
I've recently started the 16/8 plan, and bought this book on the strength of the reviews. But all it does is gloss over the concept and has very little in the way of helpful information. It's geared towards low carbing and the 800 fast diet plan. Disappointing and feel I've wasted my money.

Handy guide to different types of fasting
This is a really easy to follow book, that explains fasting and its probable health benefits. It explains that intermittent fasting can save you time and money as well as help you lose weight. The author is careful to point out that during periods when not fasting, it is better if you eat nutritious foods. The good news though is that you probably won’t have to give up on foods you like, making it easier to stay on track. The book ends with a great recipe section which includes several vegetarian recipes.
