Product Description Like ceramic heat emitters the Lucky Reptile heat thermo mat emits infrared radiation which heats objects and also the animals from within. The heat mats have two advantages for the animals; first they heat objects, e.g. Stones and create warm spots for the animals to heat up and second they heat the animals directly. The infrared radiation of the heat mat penetrates the skin of the animals and creates a cosy warmth. Your animals will love to be in the effective range of your heat mat. Thanks to the infrared radiation the Lucky Reptile heat thermo mat only has little influence on the air temperature inside your terrarium. These heat mats create warm spots and allow to achieve heat gradients inside the terrarium. As our thermo mats emit infrared radiation, you can also attach them to the side walls or the ceiling of the terrarium and not only the bottom. Installation is easy thanks to the adhesive tape on the back of the heat mat. The special design of the thermo mat allows for optimal heat transfer and reduces the risk of overheating and cracking the terrarium bottom which is common problem with normal heat mats. Couldn't be happier
This thing is absolutely awesome!I bought this on the off chance, and with very low expectations...... But I couldn't have been more wrong!I initially bought this for an orchid mantis.Does the job perfectly....... And it is absolutely tiny!Also, it has an incredibly long lead. Which was a plus for me.

Great not only for reptile species
When plugged in, produces comfortable warmth. Not hot surface at all. I actually use it for keeping ideal conditions for mushrooms growing. Heater is under a cover for better airflow and bag with mycelium on it. Everybody loves oysters.

Quality heat mat.
Perfect mat for medium sized vivarium. Corn snake very happy. Fixed to bottom of vivarium with electrical tape round edges to prevent any pet waste from seeping under mat. No problems to date.

Fine, does it's job as far as I can tell!
Fine, does it's job as far as I can tell. We got this for an inherited Tarantula and it seems happy with it.Has handy adhesive strips. Not much else I can say - it's a heat mat!

Lucky reptile thermo mat
It does the job. I've only given it four stars due to its size. It is absolutely tiny for the £12 i paid! But as I said, it keeps my Leo warm so can't ask for anything else :)
