Author Scott Pritchett has continued with his almost impossibly high standards in the writing of the third volume of an ultimately four-volume history of the distinctive special-purpose uniforms of the German armored forces of the World War II era. This volume covers the uniforms of the Waffen-SS, amply illustrating their similarities to and differences from those of their counterparts in the Army. Again, Pritchett draws on a wealth of period images, many of which have been previously unpublished, and seemingly unfettered access to some of the best militaria collections in the world. The combination is stunning in a book that is 4-color-process throughout. Highly recommended!

Another winning combination of Schiffer Publishing and Scott Pritchett. Originally I was not going to buy books 3 or 4 of this series as I have no interest in the SS. However, after buying books 1 and 2, I decided this is such a great series I had to have a complete set for my library. Excellent book. Well worth the money. Very pleased.
