Johns Shinnig Bright
This volume collects issues 7-12 plus Green Lantern Annual 1. This volume picks up right where the last left off, with Sinestro demanding Hal's help against the Guardians. The story picks up with Sinestro asking in his not so nice way, when the Indigo Tribe shows up and abducts the both of them. Hal wakes to find himself on the prison planet of The Indigo Tribe and facing his former enemy, newest convert of the tribe, William Hand, The Black Hand. The Indigo rings of compassion have a redeeming quality on their hosts as Jordan notices this is not the Black Hand he knew from the Blackest Night saga. Sinestro is surrounded by the Tribe, led by Indigo 1, as they tell of their plans to make him one of their own so he can redeem himself. After the confrontation with the Indigo Tribe, William Hand is once again in control of the power of the black light of death. He means to make Hal Jordan pay. All the while the Guardians are plotting the end of their corps along with the others by raising the Third Army! Not a whole lot to add to what the other reviewers have already said but this addition to Geoff Johns Green Lantern epic is a great one! With Green Lantern Vol. 1: Sinestro (The New 52) (Green Lantern (Graphic Novels)) the pacing seemed to slow down. Every since Green Lantern: Rebirth Johns has given us a fun fast paced space adventure soap opera with characters looking for redemption for past sins and failures while expanding a mythology about powerful universal forces emerging in the forms of emotion/colors. With the "reboot", New 52, Green Lantern really had a really rushed mutli-title event, Green Lantern: War of the Green Lanterns (Green Lantern (Graphic Novels)), prior to the relaunch, and then the very slowed down first six issues of the relaunched main title that felt like they could have been resolved in three but were expanded to give new readers a really good feel of the central characters. Neither were bad, it is just that Lantern fans have come to expect more out of John's superhero space romp. This book is definitely for long time readers. However, it is not too long a list of material to read and it is well worth the time. The way the Guardians are devolving into power hungry voids is intriguing and leaves readers wanting more, which sure is to come with the "Rise of the Third Army" event. The space cop-buddy routine between Jordan and Sinestro has been great showing how the men have grown as characters. There are some special moments with Black Hand that....eww[...]The art rocks. Period. Doug Manke is a master of illustrating the most bizarre of alien lifeforms to ranges of emotions on the human face. Renato Guedes fills in for issue 12 and does a beautiful job. The annual is mostly done by Ethan Van Sciver (Rebirth fans should LOVE that) who does not disappoint, with an epilogue by Pete Woods who gives a nice dose of sci-fi craziness.Green Lantern fans should love this. Geoff Johns Green Lantern series is back on track by shinning a light (ha) on the mysterious Indigo Tribe, bringing back a ghastly old foe, and prepping for the Guardians decent into power corruption with the next big event! Let the Third Army Rise!

Still One of the Best of the New 52
Let me start by saying that I loved Green Lantern Volume 1, and Volume 2 did not disappoint. If you've been on the fence about reading Green Lantern since the New 52 initiative, do yourself a favor and give it a try.Volume 2 is made up of Green Lantern #7-12 and Green Lantern Annual #1. Issues 7-10 contain The Secret of The Indigo Tribe arc, and issues 11, 12, and Annual #1 make up the three-part story The Revenge of Black Hand. Both are excellent, and Geoff Johns does a superb job of writing quality stories that are solid in their own right, but also do well in leading up to the coming Green Lantern event Rise of the Third Army. The partnership between Hal Jordan and Sinestro continues to entertain and engage, and for newer readers like myself, the depth of these stories demonstrates just how expansive the Green Lantern mythos is.I personally enjoyed The Secret of the Indigo Tribe a little more than The Revenge of Black Hand, but again, both are quality Green Lantern tales. It was truly fascinating to see the action unfold on the Indigo Tribe home world of Nok, all the while learning more about the Indigo Tribe itself, past, present, and future. Skipping ahead to The Revenge of Black Hand, the ending is what did it for me. It was a great way to lead into Rise of the Third Army, and makes me all the more excited for what's to come. On another note, Doug Mahnke's art is once again fantastic. The man seems to have a true mastery of drawing Hal and Sinestro, and I especially applaud him on his work with the various members of the Indigo Tribe. The action sequences were great, and the various space locales were satisfying to look at, as well. Here's hoping Mahnke stays with Green Lantern for a while. To keep it simple, if you liked the last volume of Green Lantern, this is more of the same ring-slingin' goodness. If you haven't been reading Green Lantern, get in on this.

The Secrets of the Indigo Tribe....finally revealed!
Geoff Johns just keeps you on your toes with his GL run. For the past three years, we've gotten very little information as to who the Indigo Tribesmen are, and what they had actually done to ol' Black Hand. But all that stands revealed in this volume. The Guardians continue their crazed ambitions while Sinestro and Hal are confronted by Indigo-1 and her tribe.Their true purpose really is exciting, and the aftermath really sets the stage for the Rise of the Third Army. Black Hand hasn't been a threat since his role in the Blackest Night, it was nice to see Geoff bringing him back to the spotlight after so long. The relationship between Sinestro and Hal is pretty amusing, since Sinestro holds some begrudging respect for Hal, despite being on opposite sides of the fight for so long.So all in all, another fantastic volume by Geoff! A must buy if you've been following the various Corps.

LOVED IT!!!!!!
This book collects two stories. The first is a tale that reveals the origin of the Indigo Tribe. It was really fun to see how far back they go and how they tie in to the past of Abin Sur(previous owner of Hal Jordan's ring). I was really shocked to see that the tribe as you see them now is not once what they were. The next story is Revenge of the Black Hand. To me it was sort of like a small scale sequl to Blackest Night. And, that is not a bad thing.i don't want to give away anything more but if you have been following GL and are enjoying it? Then you can'tt miss this TPB.
