No regrets!
I am a 10 year nail veteran. When I finally made the move from commission to booth rent, I had to buy up to date hardware. I had been using the black OPI led light at my previous salon. That light is amazing and has been discontinued, but it had set a standard for my quality of work. OPI had just released the new OPI studio white led light, which I had purchased for $200. The unit was finicky and I ended up returning it because it overheated at the base and burned the tips of my fingers. I set out on a mission to find a led light that equal to the black OPI led light I had been previously using. THIS light is the answer!!! It has the 48W LEDs for a quick set time. Cutting my appointment times by about 20 minutes!! 3 of these LEDs are concentrated on the thumbs so you will avoid running and pooling. Also, the reflective removable base is AWESOME!!! I have clients with arthritis, I can remove the base and hold it above their hands without any curing issues. Also practical for pedicures. This light is also POLITE! It's says "hello" when it starts and "goodbye" when it is done! My OPI light wasn't that polite!I spent a few weeks researching different brands, different wattage, the placement of the bulbs, and the removable base was a must. This light was half the price and is everything I asked for. Stop questioning it and buy it!

This is the machine you want to purchase!
I have to tell you... I spent a lot of time googling and reading product reviews... seriously hours. I can't tell you how absolutely satisfied I am with my purchase. This is the machine you want to buy!I've only used the machine twice but will likely change polish once every 1.5 times per week so I'll definitely update this review in a few months. The polish (Base: Gelish; Nail Color: Perfect Match) lasted just as long as having my nails done in a nail salon before it started to chip (about a week and a half for me). The beauty is... now I can change my nail color as often as I like while watching TV in my PJs. :)Response to some of the reviewer's complaints:1) If you're not familiar with the technique, I highly recommend a YouTube video before starting.2) There's occasionally a slight burning sensation or feeling of high heat on your nails the first few secs you stick you hands in the dryer BUT this is normal. It happens every time my nails are done in a salon. The sensation is no more or less. You will not die.3) I suggest doing one hand at a time. Base and color on one hand, base and color and the other hand, then top coats last.4) Finally, the exterior will feel sticky to the touch until you wipe the top coat with alcohol. I wash my hands immediately after and firmly wipe my nails to bring back the shine.Hope this helps!

Would be five stars if advertised wattage was accurate
First of all, this is a perfect alternative to the much more expensive gelish 18G 36 watt gel nail lamp. However, this IS NOT 48W - and if you check the questions the manufacturer has said themselves several times that this lamp is 36 watts. Why the name of the product advertises it as 48W is beyond me. It has 18 bulbs, each 2 watts each. Update the title please.

This thing is a BEAST!
I should start by saying I spent HOURS looking at reviews and videos before I purchased this..I was stuck between spending 200+ for a gelish 18G or this one and I must say, I'm very happy with my decision!I have only used this once, I got it today and couldn't wait! I did about 6 swatches and then my nails and this things is a BEAST! Cured 3 different brands of polish perfectly! So excited to be able to do my own manicures at home without paying to go have them done. I think these turned out better than the salon anyways..! Super easy to use and super effective!

If the choice is between a 12W vs a 48W nail lamp...always go for the 48W.
TL;DR: This nail lamp is great and will cure all LED gel colors . I use Lechat and its perfect!----------When I first got into gel nails, I started off with the MelodieSusie 12W LED Nail Lamp. This worked really well for Gelish and OPI GelColors. However, I started to purchase Lechat Perfect Match, because I like the regular nail polish that comes with it. However, Lechat polishes would not cure properly using the 12W Nail Lamp. After two days of wear, the polish would peel off, leaving a wet residue underneath. I attempted to cure my nails for a longer period (2 mins vs 30 secs) and used even thinner layers. This worked for a short while, but I could smell finger nail polish everywhere I went. This told me that my nails were under cured. Lechat recommends a 36W LED nail lamp. And while this was something I knew, I just didn't want to drop the cash for a more expensive nail lamp. After about one year of purchasing different gel colors (OPI, Gelish, Elite 99, Lechat and Exclusive Nail Couture) along with base coats and top coats, I thought maybe it was time to make the switch. What I love about this lamp:* Its motion activated* Has a timer* It has a fan, keeping your nails nice and cool while preventing heat spikes* Fits all my entire hand and ACTUALLY cures gel on all 5 fingers.* The bottom is removable. While this means I have the option of doing gel pedicures, I will probably never use this feature. What I don't like about this lamp (but are definitely necessary in a nail salon):*The beeping. It beeps when you press a button, insert your hand or when the timer goes off. Its not terrible, since it does alert me to the current situation. However, I find the feature unnecessary for my needs.*The timer is on the back of the lamp. I have no idea how much time is left when I put my hand in, but I know that its somewhere between 0 and 30 seconds.

I am impressed.
I am totally enjoying this lamp, this is definitely an upgrade from my drug store brand LED light. it cures my gel like a dream in 30-60 seconds. When I do fills I am amazed I have no lifting at the cuticles or the free edge, which I had all the time with my previous light. The sensor on the light can be a bit annoying at times because you have to move your hands around sometimes to get the light to come on. I wish that the lamp had a 60 sec button instead of 20 or 30 sec because most products cure for 60 sec. I would recommend this light because it gets the job done.
